Haven't been able to listen yet. How do the fans feel? Not easy to replace a legend.

He's 0-1 in the College World Series championship series / game.

Hawthorne was 6-0.

Do not like

What legend did he replace? John Ferguson retired in 1987 and since then there has been a hack filling his shoes. Blair is no Ferguson but I would take him over Hackthorne any day.

The last time i listened to LSU on the radio was the UF game in 2004 b/c i was at a wedding, and my cool phone back then had a radio on it.
Every football, basketball and baseball game is on tv. Why would you listen to the radio?

I think Chris Blair is doing a great job. He'll get better as time goes on. Thought he did a great job on baseball this year.

He changed his touchdown call from "Touchdown Tigers" to "Touchdown LSU".

I liked Tigers. My enjoyment has decreased a proportionate amount.

Crimson Tide at their own 30 yard line. McCarron drops back, he's gonna throw deep and it's complete to the running back who goes out of bounds after a gain of 4.

In his first couple of years, the Basketball coach was fired, the football coach was fired and replaced by a back-up coach. I would say most Tiger fans would be happy.

Seriously, he is starting to win me over. It is definitely hard to change.

JH was absolutely miserable to listen to.

If not for the nostalgia of so many great LSU moments that he got to call, people would hate him.

Aside from his whining anytime an opponent did anything, he also failed doing the most basic broadcaster things such as give the score, down/distance, etc

easy to do pbp when you call the play after it has happened. I hope he doesn't do the same with football. In baseball you hear the ball put in play and the crowd react to the out and then he says ground ball to 2nd and he throws him out...he does the same with pitches

I had to listen to some of the Florida game on the radio this weekend until I got home to watch the rest on TV. I can't stand his style! I miss Hawthorne badly. I felt like I was watching the game when Hawthorne was calling the play by play. With Blair I was constantly lost as to what was happening. He's just not very good!

I grew up listening to John Ferguson. Almost no games were on TV back then and radio was it.

Ferguson had a great voice, but wasn't a good play-by-play guy. WAY too slow with information. The crowd reaction was seconds ahead of Ferguson.

So yes, John Ferguson has a soft spot in my heart because that's how I followed most LSU games in my childhood, but he wasn't good.
