It won’t. LSU’s problems are fundamentals, x’s, and o’s much more than jimmies and joes. All the NIL money in the world won’t improve your team enough if the coach can’t get the most out of his roster. McMahon needs to go.

It's not for MM. It's to entice the future coaching applicants to apply for the next LSU men's basketball coach. 4D chess!

That makes more sense, dumping money into NIL next season is pointless this late in the recruiting cycle.

Exactly. He’s just a mouthpiece.

If NIL is the magic elixir and there was a great desire to give significant funds to the program…it would have ALREADY been done over the course of the last 3 years. If there is $5M committed, then that is more than enough to cover the difference in the buyout between firing McMahon now vs next year. (His firing is inevitable. “When” is the only question).

It’s beyond stupid in any transaction to throw good money after bad. The reality is there will be no significant increase in NIL funding. It’s a vague, BS excuse peddled to justify the illogical…retaining the objectively worst HC in the league for any more time.

LSU blew their NIL wad on football for this upcoming season and they don’t have the money available to fire McMahon. So they are going to eat another year of this disaster, but make you feel all warm and fuzzy about it with false promises

All McMahon needs to do is purchase a Luka and a LeBron with that extra NIL, and voila we’ll have a team that doesn’t need to be coached.

McHallman is NOT the guy.

Pull the plug now and let it drain.

McWoodward is a wretched excess McMA if he brings McHallman back!

Don't let it happen LSU fans. .......

Correct, so the narrative we’re being fed is that now we’re going to dump a bunch of money into bball recruiting but that makes no sense because all but 3 top recruits have signed already and the 3 left over aren’t coming here no matter what we pay. If we’re to believe it’s all going ti be spent on transfers we’ll have to land the 5 best transfers in the country. 1 or 2 isn’t going to change anything and it’s a tough sell to think that a couple portal guys are going to spend their last year playing hoops or last chance to advance by coming to LSU. If they’re that sought after why come here? And that’s if you believe Mascona who’s already been proven to have falsely reported the financials. The entire thing is a propaganda push and nothing more.
