Putting things into perspective, remember in this past year's Bama game those long pass attempts to Chark that barely missed him or were misfired? If it was Haskings throwing he would have thrown Chark open for at least two TDs. Burrow may NOT have thrown them open but he would have found a way to place the ball where only Chark could catch it for long completions or TDs. Martell would have had 50/50 shot at completing those passes. And at the first sign of a fierce pass rush he would have seen the middle of the field wide open, would have pulled the ball down and run for the open field.

Well it’s true. And we chose franks over Patterson when they both were at a camp here so I don’t know what you are talking about.

We wanted Haskins for sure

Lol, you're kinda wrong here. Haskins is the pro style QB of the group. He's mobile enough to scramble for a few yards, but that's about it. Haskins fits his usual scheme the least out of all of them. Martell is mostly a runner at this point, and Burrow can do both. Burrow didn't want to risk not winning the job, or he saw the writing on the wall, and left. Haskins is a future NFL top draft QB, and the people that haven't realized that by now will this year. Burrow also has an NFL future which is why this was such a big get for us.

Agreed all three QBs are worthy and one should be a day one draft pick up. LSU was able to take advantage of the situation and acquire a QB from a land of riches at the position. And CUM and OSU can proceed with no perceived QB controversy and still have depth at the position. Win-win-win for everyone.

Martell wasn’t ahead of Burrow. What the frick are you so butthurt about? Burrow has talent and brings more to the table than Etling. How is the hype any different from the hype that came with Brennan or even Shepard? Nothing but high school film to go off of. Before the decision was made, plenty of news outlets were hyping up Burrow and saying whoever wins the sweepstakes is getting a good one. The frick is so wrong with being positive?

I am Still not convinced Burrow lost the QB battle. I really Think he just hadn’t won it in the spring and wasn’t going to risk another year wasted in the fall.

Think about our situation.

Has McMillan lost the QB battle? No. Has he won it? No.

Can he still win or lose it? Yes.

Only probably all 3 QBs are much better at tOSU.

Couldn’t agree more. This guy must have some sort of agenda.

Probably voted for Hillary too.

It's not an easy decision. Ohio State doesn't have a wrong answer here — but it's one that could ultimately lead to the transfer of a talented quarterback, regardless of what choice is made. Burrow sits as the most logical candidate, given he graduates in May and could play right away at another school. That doesn't mean he can't be the starter now.Burrow stood out for the third straight spring game. He passed for 196 yards and three touchdowns in 2016, then piled on 262 yards and three touchdowns in 2017. Those spring-game performances were for the backup job. The former Ohio Mr. Football decided on in 2018 with the intent of winning the job once and for all. Burrow has the skill set to thrive in Ohio State's offense, and when he gets into a passing rhythm, he's impressive. He spread the football to Parris Campbell, Luke Farrell and Binjimen Victor for three straight completions that led to a field goal in the first half. Burrow traded a pair of touchdown drives with Haskins through the second and third quarters, and that's where the competition stops for now.

Enough with the dumbass threads already. Damn. You know it isn't a requirement to start threads to be a member of the rant?

125 down votes and counting on this op. You're on fire dude. I don't think you could have gotten those bad of results if you honestly tried to.

Haskins is very good and will have a great year. Don’t know much about Martell other than he was good out of high school and is an a-hole.

You might have a point if a 3rd string OSU QB had never won a NC under Meyer. He’s proven he can stack them 3 deep, so let’s wait and see.
