The hot start for LSU this year is such a dark spot for his failed reign at the program.

He should be most embarrassed about Epps. Shame what he did to that kid but good on him for staying here and showing out before he graduates.

Why not just enjoy the win? Johnny Jones tenure was not the total disaster some try to make it. Last year was a collapse . Before that he was 80-61 and 40-32 in the SEC finishing 8th, 6th , 3rd and 3rd in the league. That was much improved record wise over Trent Johnson.

There were several victories just like tonight's. Lets keep it in perspective and hope Will Wade becomes the greatest coach in LSU history.

You know we started 8-2 last year.

In fact Johnny Jones' LSU team beat Houston 84-65.

Houston was a top 100 team at that time while they were a top 35 team heading into tonight

I’ve often wondered how coaches feel watching someone else then their dumpster fire until a tough team. It’s got to suck if they were really trying their best at the end of their tenure.

He should want LSU to succeed.

They are obsessed with bashing on Coach Jones. There is a group of LSU fans whose LSU fandom is based upon bashing former coaches.

Coach Wade hasn't proven anything yet. I was pleased that we won last night.

I don't have any interest in dogging Johnny Jones. He's been a good representative of the university who just didn't work out as coach.

Yes...this all the way. Johnny STILL loves LSU, and he always did. His tenure as coach did not go well. We all get that. I see no point to pile on after the fact. Just let it go.

Probably more embarrassing he's coaching underneath a guy who was underneath him just a few years ago.

And Musselman is absolutely a much better head coach than Johnny is, too.

Most former players who end up caching at their old school dont last long...jj is a good man but he should have stayed at his old job...
