Until 1957, in Louisiana executions occurred publicly in the parish the crime was committed.

Google "Gruesome Gertie." They just wired her up to the local electric grid and started cooking.

It would be the only pay per view event I’d ever subscribe to.

I’d be very pro that happening.

I’m not sure I believe it will. But I’d watch it if it happens.

Tacky and unnecessary. Just get it done.

I disagree. If every adult were to see such an exhibition, then there would be fewer murders. The graphic driver's ed vids of yesterday slowed down a lot of folks.

I don’t really have a strong opinion on this at all

Probably won’t watch, but it doesn’t bother me

The fact that he’s in a wheelchair is interesting, they gonna stand him up or just leave him sitting before they fire away?

Its cheaper and gets your the same results or more accurate results, if you are in Tennessee, than lethal injection. Make it a paid event, that way they can recover some of the expenses used to house and feed the inmate.

While not the same, I did watch the Nick Berg execution video and can say it has stayed with me.

I would prefer young people not see something similar and have it affect them, and carry that memory. I think over time it desensitizes them.

For hardened adults, I’m sure it would be viewed as mildly entertaining.

But the guy definitely deserves to die for his crime.

All executions should be public to make the death penalty an effective deterrent.

It’s government sanctioned gang violence and does nothing but promote murder culture.
