His article was cited with example after example of misfeasance by our admin not related to athletics. He even stated in the article that it is a shame that these LSU admin missteps are only brought to light when there is a controversy in the athletic department
And that’s fine if you want to fire them for that.
Look just because that gives you reason to hate them doesn’t mean you can take it out on them when Will Wade potentially commits a recruiting violation and won’t meet with them over it.
You wonder why no one is writing about Will Wade getting the shaft. Because it would sound fricking delusional for someone to put that to paper, with their name attached, for mass consumption

And you are right that the academic administrative missteps can be separated from this current situation.
I just don't agree with the way this was handled since March 8th. I've expressed why ad nauseam on this board.
However the handling of this fits perfectly with all the previous misfeasance by the admin when put in larger context like Lipsy did in his article.

You fricking bumbling fool.
Those supporting Wade are Tigers fans.
Most national tv guys are fans of other schools. Go to the SECRant and see the same bullshite which leads me to believe you are a fan of another school.
You protect your own, you don’t bail on them when they turn this program around, more than likely using the same methods other big schools are using.
You and the few here calling for his head are claiming to be the majority, but clearly you are the minority.

I have never once called for Will Wade's head

I just don’t understand the people that think Wade doesn’t deserve some blame for what is happening too.
He really has all of the blame here as Wade is the one who opened his mouth and opening admitted he was offering to pay players.
How is he not the only one to blame here?

So you conflating the two is very wrong.
My comparison was for fans that say "don't punish us because it would adversely affect the current players." That applies to ANY school being punished for any bad action, whether it's sickeningly criminal like Penn State, or merely recruiting violations.
I wasn't equating the two - I realize they're vastly different. But the "don't punish the kids" argument to escape NCAA penalties is the same.

If that’s all you got out of my post, I have to wonder if you’re really a LSU fan.

F. King will be forced to resign before 2019 semester begins, likely sooner. University scandals that have been kept under wraps are now being leaked strategically by a couple BOR and 1 BOS. JA will also “retire” or be forced to resign around the same time.
This isn’t a guess, this is what I’ve been told from a couple very connected individuals. TIFWIW

lol they can't avoid any PR nightmare -- they don't know how.

Twitter and TV. Maybe 1 or 2 national & local guys are taking Wade side for every 8 or 9 going in the other direction. And it's mainly NCAA beefs and not exactly "Wade is being treated poorly" stuff.
I seem to remember another situation involving Joe Alleva, before his time at LSU, that played out in a similar fashion.
Can’t remember how that one ended though.. someone will have to remind me.

"Rational fans like you and me understand what's actually occurring and this is all on Wade."
Nobody knows the entire story about what's "actually occurring" so "rational fans cannot assign judgement one way or another. We don't know whether Wade's comments on that wire tap were scripted to him by the FBI in an attempt to entrap Dawkins into discussing Dawkins own involvement with buying players. We don't know whether or not the FBI was using Wade in this way with the permission of the LSU administration. There is a possibility that everything we've seen since the transcripts were made public is nothing more than a smokescreen by all parties involved to create plausible deniability of having participated in an FBI sting operation. Certainly, the FBI would not have wanted this information to leak out before the trial in April.
This explains the silence from Wade as well as the fact that LSU has not fired him. It also explains why the information might have been leaked from the Dawkin's legal defense team. They are trying to form their legal defense and discovery of an FBI sting operation using Wade would certainly be of interest to them. It explains why their side sent a notice to Wade about possibly having to testify in April.
The trial and it's legal ramifications are running the show and everything we are witnessing is a response to this fact.

The outrage is isolated to a very small group that lives in a bubble. They are the same ones that always think the refs are cheating, that the SEC office schemes against us daily, and all the coaches need fired...except the one that may harm the University.
There will be no PR nightmare. Most sane people understand that the administration is not to blame here. If Wade is not on tape, none of this happens.
Funny you post this when LSU is in a PR nightmare. From this, to u high, olol, and the vet school. How can y'all have your heads so far in the sand?
Oh and then there is Lipsey. He matters more than any of us.

If this was the standard, then no coach could ever be fired for any reason, because the kids would always get hurt.
Most programs don't fire or suspend a successful coach on the eve of a championship game and right before the bowls or playoffs.

The Administration is a joke, true. But Miles had to go, the mistakes made with just the clock in his tenure were used to create several minutes of comedy on a YouTube video. Clock management was as bad as any major market coach and not like it was an isolated incident. His gameplay in the National Championship where Bama didn't allow us on their side of the 50 was atrocious. Putting more football players in the NFL than any other NCAA school with 1 championship that we backed into is how LSU Football's winningest coach will be remembered. He deserved to get fired but so does Alleva and Alexander after this Will Wade saga plays out.

Why would anyone want to fire Wade?
Posted on 3/18/19 at 9:57 pm to dgnx6
I am surprised Lipsey was smoked out of his hole and making himself a public figure in this. He and the rest of his kind in Baton Rouge have always liked to stand in the shadows and pull the strings from out of sight. I wonder what has spooked him and has him acting out of character?
