They’re hoping the tigers lose quickly in the tournage. Then they’ll wait about 6 weeks and do it as quietly as possible.

You are right that LSU has been petty.

They thought when they heard "wiretap" that it was going to be bad. Once it turned out to be nothing, they realized they fricked up.

Instead of fixing it, they doubled down on stupid.

Both Alleva and FKA will be gone this time next year.

How have you reached this conclusion? I'm curious.

The outrage is isolated to a very small group that lives in a bubble. They are the same ones that always think the refs are cheating, that the SEC office schemes against us daily, and all the coaches need fired...except the one that may harm the University.

There will be no PR nightmare. Most sane people understand that the administration is not to blame here. If Wade is not on tape, none of this happens.
tigerfoot: you're EXACTLY RIGHT.

Rational fans like you and me understand what's actually occurring and this is all on Wade.

But this board doesn't have many rational fans.

are the type of morons that keep us stuck with Alleva.

ETA: There is a world that exists where Wade did something wrong and LSU admin still fricked up royally in how they handled this. I know it's asking a lot to get you to realize that, but try anyway.

I’ve now been wondering about the possibility of some players transferring next season, if CWW doesn’t come back? Especially if Alleva makes an idiotic replacement.

I’m hoping he does come back, but it doesn’t look good.

We won’t have Naz and most likelyTremont. Skylar stays, but how about Emmitt, Darius or even Smart?

I hate to have negative thoughts, and I’ll probably be downvoted, but I think it’s a reasonable question. After the past 10 days or so, I think anything can happen.

Twitter and TV. Maybe 1 or 2 national & local guys are taking Wade side for every 8 or 9 going in the other direction. And it's mainly NCAA beefs and not exactly "Wade is being treated poorly" stuff.

The vocal majority are fans that are angry that Wade was removed from such a successful season. They know and care about nothing else, other than they already hated Joe Alleva before this happened. Wade has no need to be accountable in their eyes.

heard this same argument by Penn State apologists a few years ago with the Paterno/Sandusky nightmare. "Don't give us the death penalty, don't give us scholarship reductions, don't give us bowl bans... it'll only hurt the current kids on the team."

They are only going to fire WW for cause, and if they have cause, the only people will be upset will be the try-hards that can't think for themselves. And most of them don't buy tickets or financially support the program in any way.

Proof: That "protest" that week.

This place, whether it's The Rant, O-T, Poli board, etc, is about the worst example of an echo chamber that you can find. 95 percent of The Rant might feel one way, but it's like 0.00001 percent of the total LSU fan base that feels the same way.

This often seems to be the wishful thinking of the people who tend to lose a lot of arguments around here.

The error rate of most Ranters is around 99.9 percent, so...

Funny, because LSU monitors these boards. They have people posting. The talking points in the local media come straight from here. I get that the entire fan base isnt represented here, but it's a bigger deal than you think.

Just the number of registered users makes your statement false.

But if it's like you say, it shouldn't matter what any of us post. Actually you posting that nonsense is actually pretty fricking stupid since most of the fan base won't read your crap.

Who else causes a PR nightmare besides the media?

They are already pro LSU without the cause being known in writing.

I hope he doesn’t get fired but he has done himself zero favors.

I don't doubt that, all large organizations have people who post on social media pretending to be "users".

It's weird. I know three ranters in real life and all of them blame the LSU admin 100 percent for this mess. And the hundreds of LSU fans I know who aren't on this board, all blame WW being messy and while they aren't happy, they understand the position the LSU admin is in.

Don't worry about what the media or other posters say. They should have no impact whatsoever on your opinion. The facts are out there.
