I agree with Greg McElroy and other Coaches who chimed in on these LSU Players only meetings. Unless you have a couple of older JR or Senior guys speaking and " don't forget, these guys have to be "Respected" by the other players. All of this is a waste of time. If you start the meeting and players keep chirping in and the next thing you know you have 25 players all wanting to state something,then you have NO LEADERS on the team.
Daniels calling a Players only meeting was the biggest joke in Baton Rouge. He is Not respected by the team. He is a great nice guy but he is not the person who should be calling a team meeting. That was a total joke.

I was a player. It is basically a point your finger meeting. Can be more damaging then helpful. Depends on how everyone showed respect and just looked at areas to shore up. Hopefully it fires up the team. Having it on a Tuesday when we play on Saturday night. Not really helpful. But I hope I'm wrong.

Florida is not the same as Tennessee, and statistically they're quite similar to LSU, particularly the QB position. I actually give a slight edge to Jayden Daniels over Anthony Richardson, as the latter has thrown 7 picks this year, with only 5 TDs.

Whether we win or lose on Saturday, I am happy to see we have young men that care about the program enough to circle the wagons vs. opting out or putting some BS on Twitter or Instagram like Ricks did yesterday.
It is actions like this that lay the foundation for a great program. Leaders need to emerge and dissenting voices need to be squashed. It takes some time.
Some of the idiots in our fanbase do not understand this and live such negative lives that their immediate reaction to just about anything is to trash the coaches and players.

Hope we see some more fire in the offensive players. They play like they are thinking too much and it starts at the QB position. The RB’s OL and even WR’s just don’t appear to have any fire. Maybe JD’s problems have infected the whole offense but I would hope the players only meeting is about putting a boot in the offense’s arse to go out there and play with some damn energy and desire.

A friend of mine back in the day, who is a fan of a different sec school, once told me that LSU has the worst fans in the sec.. I argued with him and disagreed, but over time, that statement has proven itself to be way more than true

Having a players only meeting then running out and telling media about it is weak. If you have one it should be between players only.
