OP First take:

at that level

OP Second take:

nearly at that level

let’s appreciate O for an outstanding job so far in making what looks like a special season in 2019. How about he at least makes the playoffs before we say things like he’s nearly on the level of coaches with multiple natties.

ETA: no need for that kind of sensationalism. Only invites criticism because O clearly has a lot to prove before mentioning him amongst the best

Poster was right, “a must watch”. Video never intimates “at there level ”, but gets his point across, over and over.

I saw it earlier. I don’t remember him saying much about Saban. Mostly Harbaugh and Dabo. Maybe I missed it

I’ll tell you what I see in Coach O.

Raw, unbridled and unrestrained passion.
The man has a will to win, and he’s passing that onto his players.
LSU has been disrespected, kicked around, bullied by Birmingham.

And you know what he says?

frick them!

holy shite

he has 2 seasons with less than 8 losses in his entire HC career. In no way is he close to dabo or saban.

Yeah, Coach Orgeron may talk slow, but he doesn't think slow.

Orgeron went through his micro-managing phase at Ole Miss. All managers make those mistakes. But the good ones learn and realize that you must change or you will fail. Les Miles didn't change. Jim Harbaugh didn't change. Ed Orgeron did and look where LSU is now.

That's the great beauty of management - if you aren't the smartest guy in the room, you simply hire the guy who is. But first you must accept that you're not the smartest guy. To many people that's not as simple as it seems.

2 things:

1. His wife obviously saw something in the guy that impressed her enough to marry him. I don’t know her at all but from what I’ve seen and heard, she’s got a pretty good head on her shoulders and is a striking lady just from an aesthetic point of view;

2. What he did last year in the realm of acquiring players via the transfer portal, which, among other guys, netted us last years field goal kicker and our present QB, still represents the most impressive accomplishments I’ve seen pulled off by any D-1 coach of any team at any level in a single season. How much of that was attributable to O alone vs. other members of the staff, IDK, but it was a feat of considerable success obviously still reaping tremendous benefits!!!

Really good video about how Coach O outsmarted college football by making people think he was retarded. But in reality he followed coaches like Saban and Dabo, and is nearly at that level.

Pump the brakes, son. I was totally against his hire originally but he has since changed my mind. He's done a great job so far and I'm fully supportive now. Saying he's close to Saban and Dabo? Just stop.

Coach O is what USC Trojan players thought he was. A great head coach.

This is a weird take. His wife is a MILF ergo he's a genius?

We’ve racked up stats against the rent-a-wins on our schedule and now Oregon is the next coming of Saban...and if I’m understanding this right, his genius is that he doesn’t participate. Now I’ve seen everything.
