There are 2 types of hate towards coaches and players of other teams. The first is due to the team they are on and the success they have had against your team. The other is more personal. I hated Spurrier when he was at Florida, but I would take him at LSU all day. I didn't hate him at USC or in the NFL. I hated Tubberville on a more personal level and don't know how I would have reacted if he came to LSU in his prime.
When BK was highered I wasn't an initial fan of the hire. I think it had a lot to do with my hate for Notre Dame and my belief that they play a weak schedule and get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to playoffs and being a media darling. I was willing to give him a shot, but he didn't put in the work.
At LSU we demand a strong defense and lust over an explosive offense. Lane has the potential to give us what we lust over and expect a return to the dominate defense.

I donr get the hype surrounding him. He had always been a disappointment up until Ole Miss and that was a lot of luck and big donors investing heavily in NIL, which he is good at getting money from donors. LSU was and will still get big time recruits. His coaching ability isn't any better than what you guys had. Good luck

I absolutely despised Nick Saban for about 15 years or however long he was at Bama… after worshipping him a few years before that.
If he had wanted to come back at any time in those 15 years of me despising him, I would have been back to worshiping immediately.
