Not hardly

It’s time for a change. Frank probably needs a change as well.

Replacing Frank with Kevin Smith as a running backs coach is an overall net gain for LSU. I understand Frank is popular but that’s the objective truth.

Kiff has an idea of what he wants in a staff . I will sit back and see . I think it will be very good !!

Well he got DL J Stewart reclassified and also got him transferred to a different High School (grades & credits) so he could do that *legally*
Frank did all this for him because they were tight- then he bolts to USC for more $$$$(that’s all these kiddies want)

3 on a scale to 10. I think Frank was getting a bit old for the spot he had and Ole Miss has had some very good RB under Kevin Smith. Yes Frank knows the New Orleans area better but money is the deciding factor and we have it to spend. If either Durham or Berry leave they are idiots, even if Kewan Lacy comes.

NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE BRAND BRO!! No one is above that logo!!! LSU !!

I guess we will just have to “ find a way to win” without him.

Short term pain for long term gain. He's a terrible RB coach and was a terrible interim coach.

I don't think Frank leaving is that big of a deal because of his recent track record, but I'm also not on board with this idea that recruiting means nothing anymore and that everything begins and ends with money. First of all, you have other top programs with money too.
Second, when the money is close all of the other things such as playing time, proximity to home, pro potential will still matter and you need recruiters skilled enough to put forth compelling pitches. Of course having good recruiters still matters.
That said I think it's more important that LK gets his guys in here that understand his offensive philosophy than keeping Frank. And reportedly he was offered a role (off-field) so he's making the decision to leave if that's the case. Nothing to be done about that.

It means little to no New Orleans area players, specifically St Aug and Karr.

The only coach that has consistently shown top shelf grabs is Corey. End of story.

I am a big Frank Wilson fan but at this point I would consider Brice Brown an upgrade, like trading in for a newer model.

Didn't he jump though hoops for the kid that decided to go to USC because of more NIL$? That is the answer.

Nah all of his New Orleans contacts are long in the tooth. He still has influence at St Aug, but that's about it

Not a loss, but a gain since Lane is bringing in someone much better.
