I think it would be funny if next to no one parked in $40 areas and just found free spots close to stadium (like me)...leaving pay lots empty.

Ha ha...traffic is gonna be a cluster this afternoon.

Wait until a big game like Florida and cluster f*ck will be redefined.

So you think it should cost $240 + TAF fees, hotel, food, and gas for a family of 4 to go watch a Northwestern State game? Then they black it out if you live in Louisiana so you have to pay for PPV to watch the game. Yeah...clearly not price gouging...

Wow.

the world wonders??

The world wonders why the same people who are complaining about the university exploring more revenue options continue to bow before Jindal who routinely makes public higher education bend over and take it every time a new budget comes out. These tailgate spots are prime parking. They deserve to make money off of it. Yes it takes a couple of games to get the kinks out people need to quit whining.

We just pulled in and set up on the corner of Highland and south stadium. It was a freaking breeze.. no lines, no waiting, parking lot nearly empty. I love it .

how crowded is the paid area right now?

i wonder if a lot of folks are going to say screw it and take the bus onto campus?

It's 1:00 and many of the new paid lots are empty. People don't wanna pay I guess. We parked for free by Ceba.

The lot we park in normally is completely open. You'd be able to pull up at our spot at 5:00 and park for $40. All of us parked in the free areas earlier this morning and walked.

I usually find some grass on Tower drive behind a building or something, but they basically make you pay to drive down Tower now. It's just pathetic that they've decided to tax every street on campus.

I went down highland and found a median to park on. Like Jesus said, "Screw you money grabbers."

yeah, because it was all his idea to cut from education. Our brilliant state's constitution says that we have to cut from education/health first, essentially trying to ensure the budget never shrinks. I personally guarantee you Jindal would love do balance the budget any other way if he could, but he's forced to work with the system the idiots set up.
