Hot take on Jay

I still believe jay is a good coach. Unfortunately, he seems to be a coach who has fell captive to this new age style of analytics based coaching. You see it in football as well, but it’s taking over baseball. Jay seems to have lost trust in his decision making and relies solely on analytics over his own eye.
All year long I have seen questionable decisions on pulling pitchers, pinch hittting, bunting, etc based on (in his own words) the analytics.
Some years you have the jimmies and joes who make the analytics work to your favor. Some you don’t. I sure hope he figures out how to get back.

Jay has always been an offensive-minded coach-he totally relies on his pitching coach for the pitching
Question is-did he make the right hire with Yeskie?

He was hired because of his attention to detail and his ability to coach hitting. He’s a winner.
Nothing about that has changed. When we have pitchers that can spot the pitches (we didn’t get that done this season) we win,…..a lot.
Coming off losing, likely, the best two pitchers in college baseball, we had a mountain to climb in that area.

And this just happened over the last 11 months? Because I remember sitting in the stands in Nebraska watching them dogpile 11 months ago.

The lack of pitching from the entire pitching roster was the issue with this team, I am hoping this is a huge wake up call to Verge and the boosters, if you don't want to see this happen again, its time to increase the funds to Jay to get the pitchers he needs...

Is Jay gay?
Not that there’s anything wrong with it

So you think the major issue was when he bunted vs swung away, and when he pulled pitchers vs left them in? Not sure you were watching this season, the issues are much deeper

This. It’ll be interesting to see what he does in regards to the pitching staff next year.
Yeskie is great but his methodology is difficult on young and unproven pitching. He pitches backwards and requires guys to throw any pitch in any count. I’d prefer to him try to pitch to more contact and accept getting hit rather than forcing guys to do something g they can’t necessarily do.
Any chance we see JJ move away from Yeskie?

2nd This...A coach can instruct until the end of the day!!! But until the Talent produces on the field and locates his pitch, we get what we have this year!!! Walks, Wild Pitches, and Moon Shots!!! Check the videos on the home runs given up (location)!!! Reference video that was posted of Milan's homer against USCe...Watch location of that pitch...
