I’m picking Clemson to win in a close game (Clemson 30 LSU 27)
I think this score is too high. I actually think the score is going to be very low until late when the teams start to find the end zone. I think its going to be a 27-24 LSU or 24-20 Clemson. I don't think both teams score 27+ points. I have heavily favored the under.
Now in terms of our biggest weakness? Oline.
Biggest strength? Edge rushers and receivers. We also have a bunch of interior defensive lineman that I would put up there with anyone as long as they stay healthy.
From the other side though, I think your Corners and interior offensive line are going to struggle to keep up with the speed. The quickness we have in the interior defensive line would give any interior offensive line issues. And the DBs haven't seen the type of speed we have at receiver.
The key is going to be if your defensive line vs our offensive line. Does clemson stop the run and apply pressure on Nuss? If we are able to run the ball we win if not then Clemson is able to control the game.

Thank you to you and everyone else who actually answered my questions on this post. I appreciate it. I now have a bettor perspective on this LSU team now that some of you guys have explained their strengths and weaknesses.
You may be right about the lower score. This game could really go either way for both teams. Anyways it’s going to be a fun game Saturday night! May the best Tiger win!

Clemson should be a nice little tune-up game for LSU before we play our in-state rival LA Tech in week two.

If this game was later in the season or even 1-2 weeks later then I think it would be a higher scoring game. But both teams have good defensive units and the defense is always ahead of the offense this early in the season. I just don't see a situation where both teams score 27+ points.
Now maybe its a situation where both teams are turning the ball over a lot which drives up the score but both teams have experienced senior QBs so I wouldn't expect there to be many turnovers.

The weakness is not the entire OL - it's the LG position. Good news on that is we have 3 or 4 guys that can fill in. There are no weaknesses on the DL, LBs or secondary. This will not look like last years' D - and they are deep. Why don't you ask Dabo for his depth chart? He doesn't have one. And who's going to handle Perkins? I like the way ya'll handled UGA and the gamecocks last year. Did you happen to check out the LSU- S Car score last year? And that's with a 62 ranked defense. Your reurning production scored 2 TDs angainst the cocks. I think that is about what you will score against us.
Do I even need to mention the 3 points againd UGA. This is the SEC not ACC. Your heisman guy got 3 points. What is your FPI - around 20 and falling. . Blue chip ratio - 55ish. Check ours out.
It's going to get rough and you better get your depth chart together. Last years' DL was butter with no depth. This years crew is coming for you. You better be 2 deep on that great OL. because our DL is 3 deep and will be grinding for 4 qtrs. And then there's that Perkins fellow. Remember that name. Who's you running back? What abiut that right guard? Is he going to be 100% Does he have a backup?

If the LSU OL holds up for Nuss there will be no turnovers and LSU will score. LSU has weapons all over the field, three deep on offense.
The key for LSU on defense is gap discipline and tackling in space. LSU's safety play sucked last year. It was probably the weakest position group on LSU. I know Clemson likes the short passing game, especially drag routes and they are very good at it. If LSU tackles in space limiting the short passing game to short yardage, advantage LSU. If Clemson receivers break those tackles, advantage Clemson (and the game can turn into a track meet if the LSU OL holds up).

I know who you are and where you work. you think coming on this board peacefully is funny and well-intentioned but it's actually very offensive.
This is way worse than starting a thread rumor of our starting QB getting into a bad car accident
