She’s a great player, love the way she plays but the two records will never be the same!

It would still have to be written down. Not like they're just not gonna count it.

Who cares. Everyone who follows sports knows.
Wait until a transgender starts playing women's Basketball. Then Pete and CC's records will all fall.

Pistol didn’t have a three point line.
His record cannot be passed.

Take away her 3s and compare.

never understood the comparison. Like saying Clark passes up Brees in points scored.

They are entirely different sports.

You don't take them away. They'd just be changed to 2-point baskets instead of 3-point.

Not only did Pete not have a 3 point line to shoot from, he only played three years of varsity ball as freshman were ineligible to play varsity. If people want to compare, then use his freshman stats as well.

Like comparing NFL stats to college stats and saying the college stats are as meaningful. It’s a ridiculous comparison

These records aren’t anywhere close to being the same and aren’t even in the same sport. I’m not knocking Clark but she had extra eligibility, a 3 point line, and, most importantly, played women’s basketball.

Just like the Stanford coach “passing” coach K…women’s basketball gets 15 Scholarships! That, along with no large incentive to go pro early, leads to dynasties I.e. UConn, Tennessee, South Carolina… and hopefully LSU. Clark is an extraordinary talent, but she can’t pass Pete because she hasn’t played one minute of men’s college basketball. Not the same sport.

Soooo many things. Pete’s freshman year stats don’t count cause varsity was separate. But hers count despite not even playing the same sport

The record is 44.2 points per game in men’s college basketball without a three point shot.

It cannot and will never be broken unless the three point shot is eliminated and someone then averages more.

Pete played 83 college basketball games. Clark is at 120 and counting. Pistol had no 3 pt. line and no shot clock.

You know what I think is the most bush league, whack arse fan behavior?

When they bitch and moan about their schools decades old record and drivel on about how its just not the same thing and their record is the real one.

Pistol Pete didn’t play against a bunch of women either. Can you imagine how many MORE points he would’ve scored if he had?

I don’t even understand why this is discussed. These are two separate sports. Men’s college basketball and women’s college basketball and that does not take anything away from either of them. There are current record holders for men’s college basketball along with women’s college basketball.

Like are softball players stats compared to college baseball player stats?

I don’t understand this.
