It wasn’t that high, but he did give up a couple of base runners last inning. I’m not sure why he didn’t keep him in to preserve the run rule and save arms for tomorrow.

He deserves to be questioned. Bottom of the lineup, 93 pitches. He goes up to 110+ with ease. Now he brings the terrible pen into play. It was a horrible decision.
It would have been 10-run rule with 3 more outs. Now that is unlikely.

It’s a short week with one day less rest. If the lead was 3 or less then he would have come back out. These other pitchers are going to have to get their shite together for post season. We won’t win Omaha with 4 pitchers.

If they don’t score a run this inning, they’ll have to come up with 1-2 more innings in this game. Depending how things go, they may have to go to the guys they would need tomorrow.
