This one hurt. That was like the 2011 football team.

We smoked everybody and then shite the bed at the end.

0-2 BBQ, we lost by two touchdowns to Cal St when they put 20 on the board

They didn’t call him puckered Paul for no reason.

I think 2017 might have been one of his best coaching jobs. He lost Eric Walker in the second game in the 1st inning to an arm injury. We lost that game but came back to win 3 straight with beat OSU twice. The team had played 2 more games than FL by the time finals came around. No one was beating Brady Singer and Faedo.

That’s right that team overachieved and damn near pulled it off, 2-1 final game and just couldn’t get a base runner in.

I guess I'm asking more about times when we just straight up choked and played bad baseball similar to what texas did last night or Arkansas every time they get there. 2013 we just kept flying out to the warning track in the bigger park but we still played pretty well. We just weren't built for that park in 2013 conditions. I can't remember any times where I just felt like the moment was too big for an LSU team in Omaha. I was pretty young during the Smoke years

It felt like the stage was too big for us at times in the late 80s before we broke through. Big Ben, arguably the best LSU baseball player ever, went 0-4 in Omaha over the 87 and 89 seasons.
they win one in 87 if Belle (the best mlb pro) isn’t kicked off the team by Skip.

The 2017 team kinda did the opposite. They had every reason to fold and made it to the championship series

This. And we didn’t lose the Championship Series to UF due to choking. We spent everything beating Oregon St and didn’t have an ideal pitching setup for games 1 and 2.

We went to Omaha in 87 BECAUSE Belle was kicked off the team.

Great player, awful team mate. I have heard that from several of his LSU and HS team mates.....

Unc/Oklahoma or UGA will win the 2026 world series

Unc got pitchers but not as good hitting.

Oklahoma is just hot right now

Uga best complete team

Uga wins it all.

Uppercut swings and zero ability to adjust got that squad.

He didn't really have to do much of anything.

He/LSU did have to beat the #1 overall seed OSU, who had the best regular season of all-time 49-4, in consecutive games to come out of the loser bracket.
