Also, A 900K house is very hard to pass up even if it is a "loaner"

I wonder why Coach K is so deified, he's as ruthless/dirty a recruiter as there is in any sport

My whole stance all along is WW look like he probably did something wrong.

My issue is we were scapegoated, it's like they've forgotten several more specific transgressions in recent years at other schools and really took an opportunity to demonize WW and LSU specifically and IMHO hypocritically and conveniently.

Vitale in particular with some of his favorites who he knows good and well did everything WW is accused of and much more.

Why couldn't a bank, seeing the opportunity to make money, give a short-term loan? You make great interest if he goes to the NBA, and you pull from his insurance policy is he gets hurt.

It seems to be simple risk/reward from the bank.

In summary, perhaps LSU needs more lending agents.

while that seemingly makes sense, I do not believe that is permissible by the NCAA and its member institutions.

that would seem to make sense, but how much reach does the NCAA have in such a scenario.

loan could be in name of a family friend or even a created LLC that provided a bit of separation and protection

Yeah, that's absolutely as big an NCAA violation as any scenario you could concoct that possibly occurred with regard to Javonte Smart.

And a bank would just happily loan $Millions to this shady LLC?

I hear you, and you may be right, but the big difference here is that our head coach got caught on tape talking about his offer, in his own words.

That's a big reason why this is getting so much attention.

In regards to the Zion recruitment...
quote:

"If that's what it takes to get him here for 10 months," Townsend responded, "we're going to have to do it some way." The conversation was not allowed into evidence during the trial of Code, Adidas executive James Gatto and former agent Christian Dawkins.

Of course it wasn't allowed into evidence. This seems worse than what WW said because there were specifics mentioned. Makes total sense to me.....

Okay,I'll ask. Why wasn't that allowed into evidence?

For the best interest of the the NCAA. You bring down one blue blood (Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky and historically UCLA), you bring them all down.

Have they mentioned that UMASS and U of Memphis were both put on probation because of John Callipari's (Kentucky) cheating?

Duke has been cheating a long time, since the early 80's from the many stories I have heard around college basketball.

Heard a quote today, “Kentucky gets caught by the NCAA and Cincinnati State gets hammered by the NCAA.”

So, going with your analogy, if the whole class was playing with the Play Dough and you single out one kid to punish, that's right and just? - A sensible person
