Yeah sadly us being 6-6 pretty much puts him out of award conversation. It’s ridiculous, I swear sports awards have gotten worse and worse over the years.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 5,000 yards and 53 TD’s and wasnt an All American. Why? He played on a mediocre team. It is what it is.

It’s also about preseason hype. If he had been recognized a s a potential all-American - even third team - in the preseason, he would get more attention now.

Cade York was just as overlooked. Statistically he was the best kicker. Some had a higher percent, but none of those were even close in 50+ kicking.

Peyton and Eli were both first overall picks, and neither won the Heisman.

Because he won't. He put up most of his tackles for loss and sacks in the last 5 games of his career. He did have a lot of combined tackles this year and got better as the season went on, but he also looked like warmed over shite last year. There's no way he's a "guaranteed" first round linebacker. He'll probably be drafted in the third round and he should be happy with that.
