Hardest Hits In Tiger Football History
Posted by Techdog89

Playing Miss State this week got me thinking about Chad Jones and his touchdown in Starkville. Then about how hard he hit guys. Who can forget Chad Jones in '09 against Arkansas? I was sitting in the South End Zone about half way up and had a great view. Still can't believe that impact. chad jones '09

I did edit my original post because it wasn't clear we were playing Arkansas when Jones laid he wood. Thx

How did no one die in that? One of the hardest I've ever seen, forget lsu history.

Jarvis Landry used to lay the wood on kickoffs.

Amen to that. We were sitting on the front row of the second level and had a perfect view. You could hear the crunch when Jones laid the wood. And the groans of every fan in the endzone. Glorious!

Yeah I was at that game too in the end zone where it happened. Heard that one from the top of the lower bowl

Chad Jones against Joe Adams and Arkansas in the end zone. They both were crawling around iirc. Dude was one of my favorite football players. Rip to his career after that car accident.

on a punt in 1995, David LaFluer (about 6' 7") just leveled some little Ole Miss guy, Ta'Boris Fisher (about 5' 10"). I mean LaFluer about killed the guy.

It was Nicky Savoie that hot the Ole Miss LB.
Lafleur had just caught a screen pass and NS peeled back and turned the kids spine into play-doh.
May be different times

The dreadlocks of doom! I was in that video as a very pissed of freshman. After the debacle the week before I had no doubt we would screw up the 2 minute drill. The kicker for Arkansas Tejada was terrible.

This was against Arky in season finale 1995. East sideline headed south.

One of the most violent hits I can remember and I’ve seen many of them in person be it in Tiger Stadium or when they traveled was when Leonard Fournette ran an Ole Miss player over with a head full of steam. The crowd roared when he got in open space and I could hear that hit from the other side of the field. I honestly thought the Ole Miss kid might leave in a body bag.

2001 Auburn. I forgot who it was but I was at the gane with my dad and on 2 different kickoffs we leveled the hell out of their KR. The first one in particular had the entire crowd going "oooooooooh!!"
Had to be Ryan O’Neal. He was like a human missile on kickoff coverage. Mad man.

I believe that was Michael Clayton, #14.

Honestly the first one that comes to mind was a tiger on the receiving end - Craig Steltz against kentucky. That Holy Cross dude I thought killed the former Raider. But that still doesnt change Craig being my favorite player.
