Until we know what Brennan's injury/recovery situation is, it's hard to make predictions.

Anyone have any news?

There’s the feeling around Ponchatoula that Finley will likely transfer to A&M. Not sure if that info came directly from family but that’s what some are saying.

Lol no. 2 of them are clearly better than one of them.

It's laughable how people think Brenan will have to battle to be the starting QB next year. If he is healthy, he is the starter. There may be a battle for the backup position, but that's about it.

Brennan lacks physical toughness. If he starts he will either be hurt again in 2-4 games or 25% of the offense will have to be removed (QB run or option to run).

Brennan is not a threat to run. That’s a big problem.

Well if it's not racism then it's just stupidity.

Brandon Harris's skillset as a QB with his rushing ability is closer to Max Johnson's than TJ Finley.

Also, every QB on LSU's roster has a better completion percentage than Harris. So it's safe to say that none of them are like Brandon Harris. The T.Jandon Harrisley (Brandon Harris Clone) thing can die already.

No I have watched good bad and average offenses since the early 90s.

I also realize the game has changed and the way offenses play has changed. Sure his game vs state was a top tier game for a les miles offense but that isn't where we are anymore. He also racked up yardage which was nice but he took way too many sacks, got rid of it late, he was seeing ghost. His play was not good vs state.

Max played much better vs UF and Ole Miss, then he did when coming in mop up duty.

I think the ypc is a bit deceiving on him. I agree though we need him to be around 6-7 yards per carry and more like a burrow that when he takes off he gets to the sticks. Max has that ability, Myles not so much.

TJ reminds me more of a less polished Jamarcus Russell. He has a huge frame and cannon arm. He just needs some more time.

The guys name literally translates to Big Dick.

I don’t see anyone beating that.

I love Myles and I absolutely can see him winning the job as he’s the most polished passer we have but damn it’s hard to take the ball out of Max Johnson’s hand when you can see he has dog in him line Burrow did. It may not be pretty but you can bet that kid is going to fight, scrape and claw every snap to win the game. Nothing against TJ Finley he’s a supremely talented kid but he just doesn’t have that quality in him. You can tell by his body language he’s just an easy going guy but I want the kid that’s going to be in the face mask of the defense after they lay a hit on him like Joe was.

Not to mention
5-17 on 3rd vs State
0-10 on 3rd vs Mizz
4-12 on 3rd vs Vandy

If you go back and watch, it was nothing but stalled out offense, then a huge +30yrd play to Marshall up the seam.

I think Max should be the starter hands down. He's the only QB to show consistency in terms of pocket awareness, checking down to his second and third option, running the ball when needed and overall leadership.

When he was in the game, the team seemed to come together and rally around him and that speaks volumes. We can't forget he led LSU to two big victories over very good teams in Florida on the road and Ole Miss in the rain. Pretty darn impressive for a true freshman!

I give him a pass on mizzou since he was playing with a season and possible career ending injury.

Yea 3rd down was terrible the other games and the offense didn't drive vs state it was chunk plays and stall outs. Plus a couple of god awful turnovers. I'm not sure where this he played well vs state narrative comes from other than raw yardage and TDs.

I think it should be noted his play improved in his next two games. He is a good program kid, with a strong arm (though he looked noodle armed at times vs state) Hopefully he can come back and we can have a real competition.

Max has the "Burrow" factor.

I wouldn't call ole miss a very good team. They are a high powered offense and he did have to keep up.

Max clearly has something different about him in games, the guy just wins. TJ is so big and physical but slow and his body language is not very competitive. I would hope he stays and develops but I get if he transfers. He doesn't really scare me if he goes to A&M

Brennan will start week 1. After the journey and loyalty exhibited, he deserves it.

wrong he doesn't just automatically deserve to start. this isn't the make a wish foundation. O is under pressure to actually win and win big next year. We will see who has the edge once the OC is hired in style.

Nothing semjackass (BRAVEHEART) says is veiled racism. He is an out and out racist. A part of his racist mantra is he does not believe African Americans are capable of playing QB successfully.
Nor offensive line. Nor coach. Anyone who doesn't recognize that fact hasn't been noticing. He the TD lead resident racist in charge.

Yeah, he sucked pretty bad in pass coverage and tackling.
