no he sucked at getting the ball out on time and making bad decisions. his play was a contributing factor to our loss vs state. Bo and his D was trash but Myles turned it over multiple times and had drives killed because he couldn't read the d and then couldn't get the ball out on time. It wasn't a good game other than raw yardage. I don't even see how this is a controversial take.

Myles put up gawdy yards that game vs state but his decision making was down right terrible and he was shook as frick. He held the ball way too many times.

have you seen everyone not named 2019 Joe Burrow that has played QB for LSU in the last decade plus?

that “shook as frick” QB was still top 3 QB’s we have had over that time frame.

he played some horrifically bad defenses. Mizzou had walkons on their defense.

Mizzou finished #5 in the SEC in passing defense. And that was in spite of giving up 430 yards and 4 passing TDs to LSU.

If you remove the LSU game, they gave up 225 yards per game. The only other teams to put up over 300 against them were Alabama (303 yards / 2 TDs) and Florida (345 yards / 4 TDs).

Of the 5 opponents that Myles and Max started against, Mizzou and Mississippi State were statistically the best passing defenses.

Vanderbilt and Ole Miss were horrifically bad defenses. Mizzou and Mississippi State were not.

It's laughable how people think Brenan will have to battle to be the starting QB next year. If he is healthy, he is the starter. There may be a battle for the backup position, but that's about it.

I remember when after Finley's first start, everyone said he was going to take over at QB when Brenan returned. Now Johnson plays 2 games and he is crowned the starter. Jeez man, do any of y'all actually understand football.

Its laughable people think a team can win in the SEC with a statue at QB. Clearly you dont understand football.

Myles just doesn’t ever seem confident to me

Completely agree, and it kills me to say that. I wanted Myles to come in and lay waste to the SEC SO damn bad. Kid waited and waited and waited so patiently, never even thought about transferring. I think the team fought harder with Max at the helm than they did for Brennan. Max has sand. That’s something you cannot teach. I could see Myles absolutely working his arse off during the off-season and keeping the starting job just as easily as I could see Max overtaking it. I wouldn’t blame Myles if he transferred if that happened, but I don’t think he would.

Finley will mature big time between now and opening day. He is not to be overlooked. He’s got a taste of real time football and he knows where his soft spots are.

and I can only assume that you believe Finley will be transferring because he will never beat our Nuss, Johnson or Brennan. He would serve himself well to transfer.

I think it’s laughable that you think Brennan is penciled in as the starter. Brennan ain’t it chief.

Brennan cannot run half of the offense... cannot run zone read or credibly run RPO.

You all seem to be forgetting, it's not just their accuracy but which QB has the better chemistry with the WRs. Who gets the ball to them quicker and in stride. They can all have the pocket awareness and the ability to scramble but if we look back at Burrow...he had chemistry with the WRs and got them the ball in a position where they had YAC.

Wow. I remember just a few short years ago where we were clamoring for a serviceable QB. Now we are encouraging QBs to xfer? GTFO of here with this.

no, that performance wasn’t going to win a Heisman, but that wasn’t horrible by any stretch.

hell, as recently as 2018 we would have killed for a QB to be that “horrible”

The performance wasn't good at all. 3 and outs against a weak MSU defense, and walking into sacks in the pocket. He looked extremely hesitant in that game like he was scared and that's something we've seen out of him before, which is why O brought in Burrow. I'd go with Max and thank Myles for his time in the program.

Guessing either Brennan because of injury or Finley will not be around after spring Don’t see Max or Ness going anywhere.
