They were talking about Myles, Max and TJ.

Glad someone mentioned that. I assumed they were talking about the 3 QBs that played for LSU this year.

Everyone has a good point on their take. The question will end up being who puts it all together best in the spring.

Myles is easily the best passer. Not sure how that’s debatable. His pocket awareness was so bad his first game, I was calling for him to get benched soon. But his pocket awareness, while still not where it needed to be long term, got much better in game two and better again in game three. When a QB shows that kind of improvement with game experience, there’s reason to be excited.

TJ can fling it and Max can run it and, agree, shows he has “it” more than the other two.

If Myles is healthy, I think he’s the starter because he’s the best passer. Max will probably be on his heels because of his short term display of being able to win (the defense had 5 TOs and 7 points in that UF game which helped a lot).

TJ will be good but seems like it will take more time to get him polished at the position.

Doubtful all three stick around so the sorting of 1 through 3 will be important next year.

But looks like we have good options next year and great options for a couple years after that.

At no point in time did any QB in this team look better than Brennan. Any battle will be for the backup spot. QB1 is a done deal as soon as #15 walks back onto the practice field.

He'll be the best QB in the SEC next season.

It's laughable how people think Brenan will have to battle to be the starting QB next year.

Now Johnson plays 2 games and he is crowned the starter.
So Brennan plays one more game - having played that daunting slate of State, Vandy, and Mizzou - and he's untouchable? Delusional.

Max isn’t a top level div 1 qb. Anyone doubting this watch the film of how many out route weak arm throws he made that the defense dropped easy pics. UF had 4 that comes to mind. Don’t believe me watch the film. It’s there Max is a great kid with a winning attitude but the tape will tell you he’s not the guy to bring us back to the promise land. Sorry guys.

Now that cities have burned, statues have fallen, and The Bad Orange Man is dethroned, racism is over and TJ Finley will assume his rightful role as the starter.

Unless O makes the obviously racist move of hiring a white OC.

Even though it is a good problem to have, I’m going to end up hating the Brennan vs Max vs TJ vs Nuss debate over the next 8 to 9 months.

It’s going to be a heated debate, a battle among LSU fans over who’s the best, all three QB’s had impressive moments where they all three shined, I think we can all agree with that. How does Coach O decide correctly, how does our next OC decide if there’s no spring game?

I'm all for a QB battle but I am hoping it is Brennan that wins out. Only because I think if Max were to win the job then we would lose 2 QB's to transfer, Myles and TJ. If Myles wins out then Max stays, TJ transfers and Nuss in the waiting. So for the long term it's better if Myles wins out but if Max or TJ win it then so be it. I do have to laugh at people acting like Brennan was so bad. After the Miss St game he started to show great improvement. And toughness playing with the injury. Don't count him out.

Valid point. Brennan had the most passing YPG. TJ had extreme highs and lows. And all Max does is will the team to wins.

Stop saying the man is 1-2 as a starter. That's so ignorant!! The man put 40 points are more when he started. If we would have not sucked on Defense like any normal year he would be 3-0. Would of been the same result if Max started the first three games. Our defense lost those games, not the offense.

Hard to disagree with this, the one concern fans legitimately have is Brennan’s health.

I don't disagree about the defense being the reason Myles is 1-2 as a starter but you can't ignore 9-39 on 3rd down. Lsu was tied with State in the 4th quarter and got outscored 10-0. Against Missouri before their last TD, Lsu went 3 and out. I wouldn't solely blame Myles for the lack of success on 3rd down but he was the starting qb and deserves some blame.

How long has Myles been at LSU in the QB room learning and growing?

How was Myles record when he took the reins at start of the season? How was the competition he played against in those games? MSST, Mizzou, Vandy? What weapons did Myles play with? Marshall, Gilbert, Emory, TDP???

.......now you are telling me a true freshman roles in with NONE of the players listed above, with the least preparation in any spring/summer a freshman could ever have due to COVID BS and WINS! Wins games he wasn’t supposed to win, games it wasn’t even supposed to be close, games with other freshman surrounding him in the backfield and split out.

But yeah.....MB is the guy! Makes total sense!

IMHO, MB didn’t have the lockroom bought in on him and on his “toughness” to lead the team like JB did and wanted to show it....his first real (and dumb) attempt and he is out for the season by a tackle that wasn’t even that eye popping, was just a good solid hard tackle.

I was all on board the MB train....but I don’t want to hear about him playing with a crappy D at start of year....the kid didn’t WIN games he should have won, frick the excuse of poor D. I want my QB to go WIN the game!

He's a QB.

That's 1 player out of 22 starters. He didn't win or lose a game. He did play the QB position better than all but two QBs in the SEC when he did play though. He displayed the ability to process better than anyone one the team. You might not want to "hear it" when it comes to the issues he dealt with, but ignoring it would prevent you from making an honest assessment of his abilities. Let them fight it out and may the best one win. I'm just letting you know in advance who that's going to be.

MJ and TJ are still learning how to be a QB and the playbook...

All of the LSU QB’s have to learn new terminology, including Brennan if he’s healthy and returns.

So let me get this straight..

Compared to Mississippi State and Mizzou season averages,
LSU offense puts up: +53 ypg, +3.8 ppg
LSU defense gives up: +238 ypg, +20.5 ppg

Compared to Florida and Ole Miss season averages,
LSU offense puts up: -27 ypg, +0.8 ppg
LSU defense gives up: +48 ypg, +1.5 ppg

...and your reaction is “I don’t want to hear about the crappy defense at the start of the year?”

Tough shite. That’s why we lost - because our defense gave up 20.5 ppg (41 total points) more than those opposing offenses averaged the rest of the year.

So let ask you....what kind of offense would it have looked like with Max having Marshall and Gilbert and Emory and TDP?

You know....since you give MB the benefit of the doubt because he played tougher defenses....but with many more weapons.

I already stated I was on board with MB at start of the year and was pumped for it to be his time.....with that said, IDGAF about what you’re stats say....I see a winner that finds a way to get it done in Max. I don’t see it MB.

Tough titts if you don’t agree, take your stats and lost games and move on
