Throwing our weight around to get our way with a tropical storm barreling down our neck isn’t the best look, especially after Laura just happened a month ago. Move it to Mizzou and be done with it. We’re gonna beat the fricking shite out of Mizzou. That’s all the exposure we need.

It’s LSU’s home game so they should have the option to explore whatever works best logistically & also gives them the best advantage to win the ball game.

In what will be an unpopular opinion, I think we should just fly to Columbia, Missouri, beat their arse, and come home. No need to inconvenience Missouri with having to find a different place to stay, fly to, etc.

Considering an upvote/downvote ratio of 93-2, maybe this wasn't such an unpopular opinion afterall...

Here's what I basically said on another thread yesterday. First of all, if the game has to be moved I would rather that they go to Columbia. Obviously this results in LSU losing a home a game and Mizzou gaining a home game. Each SEC school is suppose to have 5 home games and 5 away games this season.

A solution to balance out the home games: Mizzou loses their home game with Florida and instead goes to the Swamp. This gives the Gators an extra home game which could be offset by having Florida play at LSU on Oct 17. LSU gets the home game back they lose by having to go Mizzou.

Before I get blasted here, I recognize that Florida may not go for having to play in BR this season and in 2021, which would make it 3 years in a row in Tiger Stadium.

When South Carolina came here due to their flood and we ended up with an extra home game, the earth continued to spin on its axis and the sun came up the next day. It will be ok if we lose a home game over this.

hell if there's ever a time to lose a home game, this is it!

This is about the least impact to the Ath. Dept. and city and state one could ever hope for as it's the best case scenario of losing a home game and all the money that comes with that.

What about this anytime, anywhere talk? In non covid situation, play in Texas. Just play in CoMo and call it a day.

There’s no “may not” in there. Your hypo is a non-starter.

I like your thinking and considered the same last night... until I looked at the schedule and saw Mizzou is at Florida this year

No need to complicate things anyway, LSU just needs to go play at Mizzou.

If they had a month of lead up time not so much with 3 days.

Remember that time we got the bonus home game with South Carolina due to their flood?
Yes, I remember. We were going to the game. We were going up early to vacation in Charleston when the announcement was made that the game was going to be played in B.R. Instead of turning around, we kept going and enjoyed our vacation in Charleston. I watched the game on my cell phone on the ride home.

You'd get a schedule bump playing a true road game. If we can't beat Mizzou there, we're in trouble. Plus 3 road games in a row, if you manage to win those...

If they want us to play in Missouri, I would do some minor squawking about it to build up bargaining chips for next time, but I would not make a big deal out of it.

It's just funny our fans on the SECR that were making threads "showing Florida this is how it's done"
