You think Orgeron built the LSU program?

Tom Herman is a pretty good comparison I think. Ed has him beat.

Texas was 16-21 the 3 years before Herman got there, so he was starting will less. If he goes 9-3 that’s pretty much a wash, he had a better recruiting class last year and is ranked higher this year

Our main competition embarrassed us. I find no consolation in some other program's misery.

you're right. they are 8-2. so he must be doing pretty good. How's that 75 million dollar coach doing again!

You think Orgeron built the LSU program?

The simple answer... yes.

The long answer is that he has completely overhauled the program from the inside out. From recruiting, to analysts, to operations, everything. The LSU football program is like an iceberg... You only see a very small part of what is going on.

He's done a fantastic job and anyone that thinks Herman, or any of these other coaches could have addressed this as well and as quickly are complete fools.

There are still glaring problems on the roster that need to be addressed and O has done it as quickly as anyone could. I'm disappointed in Ensminger and we'll soon see if O's loyalty will be his demise.

LSU plays in the hardest division in football, and by far the hardest division in the history of football. And what is his record in this "transition period"? To beat bama, you have to match their physicality. If you can't you lose. No fancy OC with a wide open offense is going to be able to do it. That doesn't mean we don't need creativity (something Ensminger lacks), however.

But you people live in this make believe world and really know nothing except what you think you see on the surface.

He's performing as well as anyone in the country sans Saban, and I believe he understands what it is going to take to put LSU at that level. This season, this schedule, is proof of that.... if you look close enough.

ringing endorsement there...."we're going to fire Les, pay him millions of dollars to go away, and promote Ed from within to just hold it together because overall we're happy with the way things as they are..."

As of today...would you rather have Orgeron or:

Fedora
macintyre
Shaw
Mullen
Fisher
Herman

The only two on that list I’m 100% comfortable with is Mullen and Fisher.

Assuming Aranda stays?

All of them.

Why? Because Im confident they could all turn a #8 recruiting class into an offense that ranks better than 101 in the nation.

No we haven't. Ole Miss had sanctions on them when he was head coach. We are getting to see how good of a coach he is now at LSU.

Did he actually use the word replacement? Does he know what that means?

O has done a good job this year. And I say that as someone who was not a fan of the hire AT ALL.

The problems comes from the fact that we have seen this scenario before: Great defense, weak offense led by an OC stuck in what appears to be an outdated approach. Hell, the last guy was very successful (record wise) and was fired because he flat refused to innovate the offense. Two years later LSU is STILL on that same path with no end in sight

While not all on O's watch, it's been 10 years of the same song and dance, and LSU fans are frustrated because there seems to be zero emphasis on fixing the obvious problem. shite, our OC is the TE coach from the previously ineffective offensive coaching staff.

I'm sorry, remind me what conference Texas plays in and what their regular schedule looks like? So if you really want to compare, try comparing the conferences?

O loses to Troy (a team that went 11-2?) and everyone loses their shite... but defend Herman for losing to nobody's and barely beating teams he should destroy. It's a double standard. Fisher leaves a team in shambles and hasn't ever done anything without an all world QB, and takes over a program is good shape and turns in the same record as the coach they fired... but Fisher is all world and worth 75 million.

You people are really just too dumb to argue with.

Yep. Miles lost 10 conf games in his last three full seasons. Eddie will finish Up year 2 with 4 losses through 2 seasons. So he can lose 5 next year and still be better in conference than miles was his last theee years.

thanks for some facts, B
