Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. Unreal how far in the tank for Special Ed he has become.

You can bitch about the offense and the two losses this year, but calling him special Ed isn’t cool or funny.

then you need to point to Ga, the best win of any college team this year belongs to the LSU Tigers and Orgeron

Actually, why wouldn't the best win of the year be Bama over us?

This guy doesn't have any self respect to so nakedly shill for Orgeron and his regime.

And to put this dumb thread out to pasture, Charlie just said the arky defense was hot garbage and there was no excuse for us not to light them up.

A&M was picked to finish ahead of LSU this season at SEC Media Days.

Based almost entirely on respective coaching reputations.

The Aggies had a top 20 class for every enrolled class at the time of Fisher's hire, so they weren't devoid of talent.

Compared to the class rankings at LSU the previous 5 years before Orgeron was hired?

They are currently 6-4.

So they're on pace to equal or improve upon their previous 5 seasons. So is LSU, but the talent level is not even, as evidenced by an average margin of victory of 2 tds over the last 4 years. A margin of victory that has increased every year over the last 4 years.

8 guys in our front seven last year graduated. Not one was drafted or made an NFL roster

We have zero Seniors in the front seven this year

Clapp was drafted in the 7th round last year. Brumfeld is the only senior OL and he will probably not be drafted

We may have had more talent than Texas when the two coaches were hired, but let’s not act like LSU had a top ten roster. Not even close

So he's completely ignoring that those guys took over programs in significantly worse positions than LSU when they started and included significant staff overhauls.

Texas was bad, and Herman has improved them significantly in his first two years.

A&M is too early with Fisher, and you'ce.

Fuentes at VaTech is not great.

Hanagriff is clearly being steered to try and turn opinion back in O's favor, because you can completely ignore context of each of those hires and where the programs were.

O was handed a sports car that needed some minor repairs, while others got junkers that needed to be completely overhauled.

In fact, O as hired specifically because it was felt LSU didn't need a rebuild, but he sure claimed it was needed once he tanked some games last season.

Everyone that's not an Orgeron shill realizes this.

Texas was 5-7 before Herman took over. I don't even know why this is a talking point

Yep. Miles lost 10 conf games in his last three full seasons. Eddie will finish Up year 2 with 4 losses through 2 seasons. So he can lose 5 next year and still be better in conference than miles was his last theee years. Of course there’s no shot we lose 5. O has been good, not great, def an improvement over the last few years of miles. ultimately Brennan will be what makes or breaks O career at LSU. If Brennan is a stud O will be here for 4-5 more years at least.

The simple fact is on par with the top programs in CFB not named Bama and possibly Clemson.

Bama is at a whole new level this year bc they can win with their offense or their defense.

My main issue with discussions like this one. I don't want to dislike Orgeron or the job he's done. I don't think he's delivered on what he promised while campaigning for the job in 2016.

I didn't like the hire when it happened, but it happened. The continual need by some to prop him up against what others are doing is what gets to me.

Let the man's achievements stand or fall on their own merit.

He wasn't hired to "hold things together". He was hired to improve upon what his predecessor was doing and to improve the archaic offense.

Here are the records for each program over the last 4 years.

6-7
5-7
5-7
7-6

8-5
9-3
9-4
9-4

Texas has a shot at a 10-3 season if they can win out, including the bowl game. LSU has a shot at 11-2 if they can win out, including the bowl game.

I'm not really sure if you can say "Orgeron has him beat" if Herman elevates Texas from 5 wins to 10 wins in 2 years. That's pretty much even.
