Will it be more than the last minute South Carolina homegame? That's the real question!

LSU couldn't fill half of TS for an SEC game with much cheaper tickets than these will be. Late start time + lack of hotels hurts.

This. I was shocked at how few people were at that game.

I say 45k

Since it's a holiday weekend and people that weren't going to the game made other plans and the last minute nature of the game, 40,000. remember people haven't even started getting tickets yet.

ETA:

45k

I just heard there was 60k sold for Houston.

Holiday weekend in NOLA. I'm expecting far less than what would have been in Houston.

Between 55-60K. Although it would not surprise me if more . My guess is they open it up to fans off the street at a discount after kick off

This.

I doubt BYU brings very many fans (maybe 3k-4k, if that)

A lot of Southwest Louisiana probably won't make the trip. Same for North LA. The 8:30 kickoff makes it difficult for anyone except those in the NOLA metro area to make the game unless you book a hotel. Will students show up in any significant numbers?

The lack of attendance at the LSU/South Carolina game really shocked me. Yes, it was only three days notice, but the tickets were relatively cheap and it was a beautiful early fall day against a SEC opponent. It was easily drivable for much of Louisiana and MAYBE only 40k actually showed up.

35000 is a good guess and here is why. Forecast is for rain and the pumps are not working. There are very few hotel rooms available because of the "decadence" festival and the prices for them will be high. The game is at 8:30 pm and it is televised on ESPN, so that will limit travelers. I doubt BYU brings more than 2500.

This makes no sense. Why would someone buy a ticket for a game three days later that they're not going to go to? The paid attendance will be very close to the actual attendance.
