Recruiting not over yet

Posted by Crawfish Anytime on 2/7/18 at 3:24 pm
I know we missed on some prospects, but it's not over yet. Hate we missed on Surtain, but I didn't want Alabama qb. Wasn't overly impressed with him! I believe this is where the real recruiting begins! Transfers have become so much apart of big time college football now that I hope we keep a couple ...
I agree! He's not going anywhere despite what some idiots are saying. You have to give the guy a chance to put his program into place and that takes time. Many of these kids were walking high school halls just six months ago and you expect them to perform at the level of other more experienced teams...
I agree with most of what you said, except I was a big Les Miles fan. Some people on this website will complain about anything no matter what the situation. If we would have hired Herman, the first time he lost they would be calling for his head. The bottom line is I'm not happy we're losing, but we...
I agree the lost to MSU was tough, but it's one game on the road with a bunch of true freshmen playing. Let's give him a full season and get a complete picture of what we're dealing with. MSU was bad, but how many of us have had bad days at work? Maybe the butt kicking might be the thing that gets t...
I'm not saying O will be good or bad. What I'm saying is give the guy a chance to show what he can do! There have been plenty of coaches that have struggled in one place and done well in others. Gene Stallings is a perfect example. Record coming to Alabama was not impressive and he lost his first th...
Some LSU fans are acting like Alabama fans! Chill the freak out! Coach O is in his first full season, as is Canada. Give them time to implement and change things around to fit the team. We've played 20 true freshmen this year that were walking high school halls last year and you expect them to be re...

re: Quit blaming Etling....

Etling is clearly not the problem! In fact, he's the best thing we've had in a while. Dropped passes, penalties and lack of preparedness are the issues. We can win big with Etling. We can't win with no OL protection and no DL penetration! Add on top of that injuries and youth and we have a tough roa...
I agree. Sometimes it takes a good butt kicking to get your crap together. I think the talent is there, but we're young and our coaches need to do a better job of getting the guys prepared. I hold both coordinators and Coach O responsible for the loss!...

re: Ready to see Brennan

Brennan would be eaten up if he were put in. Etling is the best option for us, but it's his supporting staff that needs to get its act together - namely the OL and receivers. And a horrendous pass interference call on a touchdown didn't help either!...
I agree. Let the hatred for Miles go! He did a great job for us, but he simply stayed too long! It happens! I wish O the best and I hope he's the guy to lead us to another NC, but it's time to let the Miles hate go!...
I've never been a Chavis fan! I can't count how many times teams drove down on us in the last minutes of the clock and scored. Just thought our defense under-performed at times and our defensive alignment was off during critical times of the game. Hated that he played that prevent defense late in ga...
I was impressed with all of them! Considering they were playing high school football just a few months ago and to step out on national tv and perform is impressive! ...
Some fans are idiots and it doesn't matter what LSU does, they will always complain! I was happy with what I saw, especially considering we had so many players suspended or not playing because of injury! I'm excited about what's ahead! Geaux Tigers!...
Chill! It's only the first game! We had lots of players suspended and our best defensive player was on the side line. I'm not saying they won't beat us, but to predict that after one game makes no sense! Their offense struggled, so let's just see what happens in the next few weeks and make a predict...
On the flip side, I heard LSU had no chance at Akers when Les was fired. For some reason, Akers had a better relationship with Les and stood a very good chance of coming but when he got fired, he was off to FSU. As much as people love to criticize Les, fans often forget he was one heck of a recruite...

re: SEC coaches worst nightmare

Posted by Crawfish Anytime on 8/27/17 at 10:05 am
All the major programs cheat or they have no shot at getting the top players. Period. These players can go anywhere in the country, so every program has to play the cheating game or they won't even get near that recruit. Unfortunately, this is what big time college football has become. I hate it whe...

Good point and I wonder if he regrets opening his mouth. I think it's funny how several coaches from around the country have been hinting that the SEC is out of control cheating for years, yet not one of them have come out and said a word since it all broke loose. I find that interesting. ...
Typical response of a politician. They are reactive to situations and not proactive, which is why I hate politics and avoid it like the plague! In my mind, 90 percent of them are crooked so when they talk, I switch the channel immediately! ...
