Then you aren’t paying close enough attention to the program or just naive. It’s the state’s flagship program that sits 3 miles from the governor’s mansion. Politicians will always have a role; hell, the governor appoints the BoS who are actively involved with how the AD manages the department. Political influence is baked into the system. In this instance, Landry decided to be vocal about a couple issues and SW did a horrible job being apolitical.

I am for sound financial govt. Except for the Jimbo and Brian Kelly contracts. And some of those assistant coaches too. I'm also for transparency in govt, except for having spies in programs that report secretly to me. I will stand on the same platform my dearest and best friend JBE set in motion, and cancel all sports in our great state, unless you vote to raise more taxes
Thank you. I'm Scott Woodward, failed LSU AD

Woodward vs Landry for governor. That would be hilarious. I think Scott would win. Landry is not well liked.

Be better then, you certainly don’t sound like a conservative Republican.
Yeah you have to be a lib to not have your governor publicly talk about investigating the agents of the very coaches you want to attract to the job.

You come across like a leftish child.
Yeah wanting your governor to not lie about the athletic dept you support means you're a leftist child.
People like you are the single greatest evidence against evolution that I've ever seen.

I stated specifically what I’ve observed on comments about his accent. Focus on what you read.
You responded to a post about him being a retard with a Cajun accent.... hence bobby Boucher.
At no point did the OP insinuate he is a retard because he sounds Cajun.
I figured you were responding to the op and not just posting irrelevant shite. There is a reason I'm not the only one to respond in the manner I did.

The gov is just trying to get invited to a Dr Pepper Fansville commercial.

Landry screwed LSU.
Landry didn’t do shite except talk. Whoever the new AD is, the football coaching contract is their deal and they will have zero fvcks to give about the stupid governor. No one is screwed here. Dude just likes to shoot his mouth off.

Exhibit B of leftist child behavior. Be better and focus on the specifics of what people say.

Why do you keep making this a political arguement? I don't care if Landry is a Republican or Democrat. The governor of La does not need to be involved in LSU athletics. He can pick the BOS and I realize they will probably listen to him, but I don't want business men from the BOS picking our coach either. I want a nationally experienced AD finding our head coach. I don't care if the AD or the Coach is a Republican or Democrat and none of the true LSU fans should care about our professional athletic staff's political affiliation.

The governor will always have some level of influence in the athletics department for obvious reasons. You want to control the level of involvement, keep your FING AD out of politics where he has no place being. You play with fire, expect to get burned.

Where did Woodward get involved in politics in this scenario?
Landry did with Woodward the same thing he did with Garret Graves. When he feels slighted, he takes the next opportunity to punish them.

Literally almost anybody but Landry. Mulkey for Governor. Would love to see her wipe the floor with Landry’s tail tucked firmly between his legs.

This was an end result from SWs political activities. People with power exert it; SW was a resulting casualty for two reasons: 1) CBK contract and poor football team performance 2) becoming an adversary of Landry’s. Demise was of his own making.

When he opens his mouth for an obvious PR move and he’s so dumb that he thinks mentioning Trump picking the coach, not once, but twice in 90 seconds, then states several lies that he’s now doubling down on, you realize this is a clown show of a governor and a state. For those that don’t realize it, put your red hat over your mouth.
