It's amazing how different the tone of that article is than all the chatter about what Wade is doing. Even though he is doing the exact same thing as Gonzaga apparently. That article you posted just proves that this is more about hating Will Wade than recruiting a G-league player (who never actually played in a G-league game unlike the Gonzaga player)

It's not the exact same thing. The players discussed in that article went to directly to the G-league from HS, before going to college basketball. The NCAA bylaws actually allow that.
Luis is different because he previously played college basketball, left, and is now seeking to return. It's in large part what Charles Beadiko did last season and was eventually prohibited from doing.

Personally, I think the IVYs have it right. No cash or scholarship to play college sports..
But that's not reality for everyone else. Hell, even coach K was dirty.

Ah ok I misunderstood then. Oh well I still hope he gets eligibility. I think the fact he never played in a g league game and never signed a NBA contract work in our favor

Possibly, but unlikely.
The NCAA rules allow a player to have actually played in (non-NBA) professional games to still play college basketball...as long as he did so BEFORE he enrolled in college. Luis has already enrolled and played CBB. It's not him playing or not playing in a G-league game that is the hang up. It's him already playing college basketball that is.

LSU has nothing to lose in men's bb. Serioiusly. Wade wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't pushing the envelope to put a decent team together. I'd be pissed if he was being too conventional.
Wade's approach this year reminds me of tPortal King Kiffin. The sport is broken, a total mess, and the wild west. So let's leverage all of that to force common-sense reforms and win a bunch of games in the meantime.

This is a one year deal anyway. Wade won't have to do this next year and it will probably not be allowed any more after this year. Take advantage of the rules now.

Give it a name when you say something like that or you’re just a pussy. Unless there’s a personal beef or you’re just a total twist coaches don’t talk about each other this way. Whoever it was who made those comments, if it’s even true, they’re scum. Knowing Goodman he could’ve made it up or someone could’ve fed it to him as bait knowing he’d repeat it.

There’s a war going on between the Big-10 and their media apparatus and the SEC right now. A big reason NIL was agreed to was to take away the SEC’s power in football. It’s getting uglier and uglier every year, we just don’t have much national media presence down here.
