That's what Jayden has done.
Corporations, people with aspirations do a lot to obtain and nurture good will. It only takes one bad experience to sour people who you want as your customers, friends or to maintain and grow a relationship.
His mom clearly doesn't understand this and now Jayden, who has an engaging and upbeat personality, is on the wrong end of a PR nightmare.
he needs to get on a flight to Baton Rouge and have a photo op with DJ and Kiffin and get the stink off of the shite he was lead into.

He needs to concentrate on his season. If he wants to do that after the season or during a bye week then sure but he needs to be concentrated on his team. Him getting on a plane now would be even dumber considering hes going into a make or break season....which makes the timing of this whole thing so friggin stupid.

I agree. There are ways of doing things. He could have asked privately (maybe they did). He could have been snarky about it.
Or he could have embraced it - made the connection with Pickett for the season "The Double Nickel".
Some folks don't handle fame well, although the suspicion is that it is people around him getting him agitated about it.

Everybody keeps blaming Mom, and assuming he has no hand in this.
I don’t buy it.
1. Even if Mom was the instigator, that letter did not go out without his approval.
2. If his mom is meddling in his affairs like this, he is spineless.
