I am concerned that it took our OC 4 games into the season to realize he might need to simplify the offense. Coaching is all about putting your players in the best situation to win, it works best on offense when you tailor it to your players aptitude and abilities. Not a good sign when it looks like we are just now realizing we need to dumb down the offense.

Outside of penalties I don't get all the hating on O. Dont get me wrong the state loss was alarming in many ways but the coaches that need to get their shiiiat together is Grimes & Canada. Our tackles are veterans and they may not be NFL prospects but they should be better than this. The shifting and unbalanced lines seem to have hurt them. Canada needs to scheme to help them out. They need to line up and try and keep each player on an island when pass protecting. Man on man. That's our best shot imo. He can do that by spreading things out and force defenders out of the box area. We will get RL and Herron back soon. Dline will improve. If oline can play better we may not be as bad off as we think.

You are close to being spot on. However CEO has to take a lot of the blame he hired Canada, he is at all the practices and he needs to be able to see when the product does not meet expectations. We are dumbing down the offense now for good reasons, but a GOOD coach would have recognized the need to do this sooner. I think we are better than the MS game but by how much?

No there not a coach out there who would have gave us a ten win season . Our head coach was fired remember we are lucky we held on to we did ,We just had to get rid of Miles now we have to suffer from the slow rebound !

Ok. This is a rebuilding year. LSU is not getting past Alabama this year...even with last year's team. Fix the OL and DL. Add depth and crush recruiting. I accept that this season will probably be a four loss team. Get to a mid tear bowl and be competitive. Get Myles Brennan valuable snaps this year in competitive games. Build for years 2 and 3 and 4. Gotta win the trenches at all costs.

If after 2018, the OL and DL are inadequate, then we need to reevaluate our coaching situations.

It's not about giving coaches a chance. To them it's about demonizing coach O no matter what. They didn't want Less Miles fired and they don't want coach O here. That's it. They will never give him a chance.

You always Make it about les...I've heard exactly ONE poster in the last 6 months say they wanted les to stay at LSU...and that was earlier in this thread.

NEARLY EVERYONE agrees it was time for him to go. But you are right We didn't and don't want O running this program into the ground.

Get it through your thick arse skull...'hating' on O has zero to do with les miles.

I would be okay paying more for Herman and Fisher and not having the highest paid coordinators.. because Herman and Fisher both know what the hell they're doing and aren't coordinator-dependent. Orgeron does not. And even IF the season was going the way it is now with Herman and Fisher, I would still not be quite as frantic. Fisher is 0-2 at FSU this year and I don't think they're calling for his head.. because he's proven that he knows what he's doing. Orgeron hasn't proved anything other than that he's a fricking idiot.

Yet Texas is 1-2 and FL St is 0-2 and it's likely they both lose this weekend.

do you know what the biggest difference between the two programs are generally? it's not money, fans base, or facilities. it's that Alabama fans demand excellence while half of ours is completely okay with mediocrity and make excuses for a head coach who is clearly out of his depth because they identify with him personally.

you're full of shite. I take it you do not remember bama pre saban. EVERY program goes thru ups and downs. that's a FACT.

Coaches are making millions - Orgeron makes more in a year than a majority of people make in their career.

Actually it seems quite the contrary. You never see someone bad mouthing their team, players, or coaches on message boards. Not even when they are having down years. The moderators don't allow it.

there would be more rope if lsu hadnt made the most unqualified hire in big 6 history. our clown ad hired someone that has never proven he can run a defense or offense let alone a program.he has been coaching for 33 years and has yet to prove he can have any success at any position above dline coach. thats the hire our ad made at one of the most critical moments in lsu football history. youre a shite fan if you sit back and shut up about it.

Yeah, I don't understand why people are mad about some of us having a lack of belief in O. He's proven absolutely nothing so far as a HC at OM or here. We had one of our worst losses in years. We're showing no signs in improving. I mean, WTF do we have so far to be optimistic about? O has to prove himself before people will believe. That's how it works. We need to see something. We've seen NOTHING. Those are the facts.

he wasnt even the best choice of current lsu coaches. dave aranda could never coach again and his resume would be better than anything o has ever done.

He was....you're reading the wrong posts. Hell, even I admired the man until 1-9. After that, didn't give two hoots about him again.

its doesnt sound strange to you that you gave up on a coach that had just made his 2nd title game since 2005?

i find it strange you could say to yourself....
" im done with this coach that won 3 west titles,2 sec titles,2 national title game appearances and a national title in 7 seasons."

hell i was done with him after 2015 but damn.
