Anything less than a new year 6 bowl is a failure. That bar was set whenever miles was fired. The fact that 0 is in over his head and can't obtain that doesn't change the goal, just makes it easier to get rid of him quickly

I'm not, in any way, equating Orgeron to Saban. BUT to put things in perspective, Saban did lose to ULM in his first year at Bama.

Then why bring it up. Saban had a natty to back him up. O has a 3-21 record in the sec. This is why people are nervous.

Coach O is 3-22 in the SEC as a head coach. Stop acting like he is a great coach or an up and coming coach who was very successful at a smaller school. He crashed and burned the only time he was head coach and it looks like a re-run again. The hot seat for him is warranted.

You’ll get downvoted by the Orgeron idiots, but go look at some of their post histories from 6 months ago and I bet most were predicting 10-2 with a NY6 bowl. The standards will keep getting lower until Orgeron can finally limp over them.

Why the F was Ed O hired? Many can't get beyond that.

The other options would have cost a lot more (Herman or Fisher) and I'm not sure they would be doing so much better now with their records currently. Fisher didn't even want the job here. The only other coach I think would have been the better option would be P.J Fleck.

LSU hasn't had to "rebuild" in a decade and a half, but hey, let's fire our coach and hire a good old boy and sit back and have a beer since Saban can't be beaten.

No I'm with you.. count me in the camp of those who are nervous. I was vehemently against hiring Orgeron and I think it was a cheap and lazy hire. But what can we do other than give him a chance? We don't have any choice. With a $12 million buyout he ain't going anywhere anytime soon. We're all mad about it- but there's nothing that we can do about it anytime soon. We just have to hope he doesn't frick us up too bad before he is gone.

It's college football and LSU is going through a difficult transition with injuries, new coaches and having to play a lot of young players. Grab a beer and relax and support the Tigers! Geaux Tigers!

That is how it is supposed to be but it looks like some individuals identity is linked to LSU football, all they are focused on is holding the NC trophy in January and if LSU loses a couple of game early the season is over for them. I think the game vs Syracuse was a lot more entertaining than the game vs BYU who couldn't cross the midfield. Also it looks like there are fans who have "never Trump" mentality toward Orgeron, they only look for ways to criticize him. When defense plays good all the credit goes to Aranda but when they play bad Orgeron gets all the blame. They likely look forward to the football season all year and then it is over for them with the first loss.

I would be okay paying more for Herman and Fisher and not having the highest paid coordinators.. because Herman and Fisher both know what the hell they're doing and aren't coordinator-dependent. Orgeron does not. And even IF the season was going the way it is now with Herman and Fisher, I would still not be quite as frantic. Fisher is 0-2 at FSU this year and I don't think they're calling for his head.. because he's proven that he knows what he's doing. Orgeron hasn't proved anything other than that he's a fricking idiot.

That said, regardless of what we hear about the Herman situation, if he or Jimbo wanted to be the coach at LSU, they would be. So we're stuck with Orgeron.

Than our DL coach? There was NO ONE better in all of football...than the DL coach already on staff?

Well...I disagree.

That is literally the nature of being a head coach. It looks like Orgeron hadn't considered the possibility that the team might not be very good and he'd have to answer for it. So now he gets all steamed and pissy in his pressers when he has to answer legitimate questions about why the team isn't very good.

Lmao at the OP's blatant attempt to gloss over the glaring deficiencies in the coaching, the team, and the program. We just suffered our worst loss to MSU IN PROGRAM HISTORY. That isn't some typical periodic downturn, unless we're on a 120 year cycle.

Blame alleva. The hire was made.. quit hanging your hat on what O did a decade ago. Coaches have struggled at their first stop before. It's not his fault the oline is playing so bad and the offense isn't moving the ball well. Kirby was considered a Saban minion and many people laughed at the hire. Especially when they lost 5 or 6 games in his first year. You can't judge a coach by his first few games in his first season. That's ridiculous and ignorant. Bad hire sure. O's 2nd chance probably should have been a FCS program but it wasn't. He got the job and deserves a fair shot. It may be the worst hire ever Idk but unless he goes winless in the sec or something u can't fire him. That would
Be horrible for the Lsu brand. No coach worth a damn would come here. Who would want to coach somewhere, move his family, assistants etc. that will fire him if he had a bad month or two?? If he bombs badly and alleva is fired that's the only way i see a HC change happening that wouldn't look so bad. Untill then I support O and these tigers!! Btho Troy and steal a win out of the swamp it will look better around here

(I'm using your quote as an example so don't get your feelings hurt)

I read statements like this over and over again and it is absolutely hilarious.

Many of you should find something else to do with your emotions. It's a stupid football game played by a bunch of 20 yr old kids. Nobody with any sense cares if we lose 4 or 5 games this year. So fricking what? It's just football.

"the standards will keep getting lower".... And? It won't matter 2 years from now. Not one bit.

Your opinion is still irrelevant. It's irrelevant if you were stupid enough to buy clubhouse seats. It's irrelevant if you are a season ticket holder. It's irrelevant if you are an alumni. You still don't get to make decisions. So just shut the frick up and let the kids play. Who cares.... It's just football.

I don't blame Coach O, I don't blame the players!!!

I blame the jackasses in the AD office for hiring Miles from OK State with a 28-24 Record

I blame the jackasses in the AD office for not making a valiant effort to find a true $6.5 Million dollar coach

So there, Im giving Coach O a chance.
