I assure you that LSU does not pay me to be critical of 0.. If you know of anyone with this arrangement please let me know because I can always use the extra cash. Have you ever thought the people are legitimately unhappy with the coaching search and the product 0 is putting on the field

I didn't mean you. You are clearly a highschool student because your writing style indicates an uneducated person, and an unstable person.

And the 48 downvotes are the ones acting like Alabama fan!! Well said OP!

The decline under Miles was real. Our steady declining SEC record is proof, yet everyone expected Coach O to come in this year with a new OC and play 11-1, 10-2 ball? Which still might happen!

that's what happens when you change head coaches ,you don't know what you are going to get

Let me ask you this. You're in a position to hire for your company. Do you hire based on resume? That is to say, do you look to hire the people that have the most experience and the best record of doing a great job at their past positions? What if in their previous position, they did very badly? Do you hire them anyway because they tell you they've learned from their failures...do you risk your business on their promise?

Sure...maybe they DID learn and will make someone a great hire! I'm not risking it, though. I'll hire the best available and suggest to the person who's failed in the past to go build that resume up and SHOW ME you've learned, not tell me. My hire may not automatically work out, but I'm always going to pick the best available when possible.

I didn't see another soul I wanted to coach our Tigers

That's mind-bogglingly hard to imagine. Honestly, once there's been one head ball coach in place for a decade or longer, seeing the position change to someone else is hard and it's hard to imagine someone else there. BUT...the fact that it was hard for me to imagine someone other than Les on the sidelines did not...in any way...mean that I could not recognize that we, and literally no one else...wanted to hire our DL coach as the head coach of a Power 5 conference. That fact alone is astonishing to me.

quote:

Yall will have to get comfortable with the fact that you cant have every thing the you want and start supporting our team and coaches!

This reads like suggesting unless you supported the various Presidents who sent young men to Vietnam and their various foreign policies you did not support the troops. There is absolutely nothing that suggests that in order to support the players and program that you have to silently sit still and get behind a hire that was terrible from before it happened. If you're of the mind that this was a shitty hire and that no real search was done, then if you support the program LONG TERM it's your duty to make it known that this was a bad move by the LSU Administration and that you NEVER want it to happen again. Frankly, if I did not support the program I wouldn't give two shits who they hired or how they went about it...

But they know better, coach is a idiot because he talks funny and sucked at Ole Miss, and on play station LSU always kicks arse not matter what play is called.

Whys is everyone that says something you don't like "unstable." Is this your new favorite word that you just learned to spell today in school or something?

while half of ours is completely okay with mediocrity and make excuses for a head coach who is clearly out of his depth because they identify with him personally.
Les Miles last 5 years were littered with mediocrity. We barely won games, looked like shite on multiple occasions, lost to freakin ARKY and Ole Miss twice, got railroaded by Bama, and never made a New Years day bowl game, The shitty bowl games we did make we lost 3 of the 5.

Stop trying to re-write history, the last 5 years of LSU football BEFORE O were not all that great either. Many of us were screaming and hollering for change. We didn't get a top tier coach, but I doubt very seriously he's going to be worse than Les Miles.

dude this team is worse than any Les ever had here, and O's track record is as one of the worst coaches in the history of the entire SEC. Doubt he's going to be worse than Miles? It's EXTREMELY likely he will be MUCH worse than Miles.

Miles should have been cut loose 3 years ago. We never know what O could have done them.

I'm not saying O will be good or bad. What I'm saying is give the guy a chance to show what he can do! There have been plenty of coaches that have struggled in one place and done well in others. Gene Stallings is a perfect example. Record coming to Alabama was not impressive and he lost his first three football games. I think things turned out ok! I don't think anyone wants to get judged when you're dealing someone else's players or workers!

Garbage lazy hire that set the program back a decade. Why in the frick would I give them a chance when nothing has been shown to make me believe in their abilities. We're showing the same problem areas that plagued O in Mississippi and the team has regressed in the year he's been in charge.

You sunshine pumpers who are ok with 6 losses a year can GTFO because that's what we're getting win O.

(I'm using your quote as an example so don't get your feelings hurt)

I read statements like this over and over again and it is absolutely hilarious.

Many of you should find something else to do with your emotions. It's a stupid football game played by a bunch of 20 yr old kids. Nobody with any sense cares if we lose 4 or 5 games this year. So fricking what? It's just football.

"the standards will keep getting lower".... And? It won't matter 2 years from now. Not one bit.

Your opinion is still irrelevant. It's irrelevant if you were stupid enough to buy clubhouse seats. It's irrelevant if you are a season ticket holder. It's irrelevant if you are an alumni. You still don't get to make decisions. So just shut the frick up and let the kids play. Who cares.... It's just football

Then why are you here? Go do something productive with your time...it's just football

Its all about progression vs what we just got rid of. The point was immediate improvement without rebuilding. That's PRECISELY why O was hired.

Offense...worse
Defense...worse
ST...couldn't be much worse, not not good
Penalties...worse
Recruiting...worse(so far)

O was immediately going to get a short leash because a) he has history of not being very good and b) he is replacing our all time win % leader.

He hasn't earned any more respect or hope than he is getting.

Pretty simple for me. This is not what was sold to the fans on why hire Ed Orgeron.

I had to sit here and listen to a bunch of dumbasses say, any one can win 10 games at LSU, anyone can recruit LSU. So I guess any one but Ed Orgeron can do those things.
