Bro, I'm not going to pound on my chest to prove my LSU fan hood. I don't like where the program is right now, but I'm diehard still and always will be. My fandom is not in question here it's the direction our program has been heading since 2011.

I want another NC and I want it now!

He's entitled to his opinion but to use a national tv program to destroy LSU, his former team, is inexcusable.

So his opinion of LSU is only allowed to be sunshine and rainbows?? My God the lack of perspective some of you have.

Exactly.

It is Spears' job to be an objective college football analyst. And he's damn good at it. He can take throw on the pads for the P&G anymore. He can't give them a pump up speech in the locker room every game. And he can't influence the players to play harder from his position.

Marcus Spears is an incredible ambassador for the LSU Football program. And if y'all can't see that it's time to take off the P&G sunglasses and face reality

But the reaction the last couple of days has been over-the-top widespread panic, sort of a replay when LSU baseball fans wanted Tigers' coach Paul Maineri fired about two months before he had his team playing in the College World Series finals this past June.

Preach. The little girl overreaction from a fan website is given too much weight over a major program.

That's also the reason Jimbo didn't want to Coach here. He'd be second fiddle behind Nick and knows it. He's got a comfy bed at Fsu where he plays second fiddle to Dabo .

I'm no big fan of Maineri's, but please don't compare him to Orgeron. The guy has won multiple SEC Tournaments, been to six CWS, and won one of them. Orgeron isn't on the same planet from a comparison standpoint.

Did no such thing, but the comparison of the two just goes to prove my point further and show how overreactionary TD is. Despite the successes you just listed, this website was completely done with Paul in March. Done.

O may not be the right man for the job and I agree there should have been a better option, but I can 100% guarantee this fan base (largely due to this website) would have never let Dabo Swinney reach the point in his career where he is currently at Clemson.

It was one game and there are legit reasons State beat our arse, just as there were legit reasons Maryland beat Herman's arse at Texas. Many of the reasons Miles was let go are still manifesting themselves in this program. Now it's time for O to prove his medal as a coach because, like it or not, he is our guy unless we want to embarrass ourselves even further as a fanbase by forcing him out after one year.

TD needs to settle the frick down, because the negativity will become self-fulfilling in recruiting and the program itself.

It's people like Marcus that Saban was talking about that would say " The sky is falling " when LSU lost a game they shouldn't have. Spears should know better than to be all gloom & doom. Recruits watch TV too, not a smart move on his part.

I would have said Marcus went out on a limb here if had stated this before State beat our asses by 30 points.

He has out recruited everyone in that aspect of college football. That is an eye opening take on the state of college football Mr Spears.

He's right but the problem is that every team in the NCAA has been out recruited by Saban on the def and off lines. Let's not act like LSU is one of the few

Marcus is dead on. Should have been said months or years ago but most of us are just now waking up and realizing this isn't just a "little slump" but a full fledged football depression. Miles was 15-11 in his last 26 SEC games and people were begging to keep him? Doesn't make sense even though I know him and like him. But when I was sitting in the freezing cold in Oxford and seeing us get skullfricked with not a single offensive idea of how to score even though we had the best RB in CFB, I thought he should have been fired at the airport that day. And then again at the aTm game when King and Joe backed out.

By the way, part of the problem with lack of linemen may be that it looks like Marcus may have consumed one of our recruits! Salad much MS?

Spears is a Tiger and he wants what we want. Some folks just can not handle the truth. He is dead on with what he states. Good for him and when it is fixed and trending in the right way he will give LSU its due. We are what we are at this point and it will take at least two good recuriting years to fix. We need the O and D line to get better. Bottom line end of story. Geaux Marcus keep on talking.
