The Advocate in BR had a huge write up on Coach Mulkey’s basketball wins including her ordering crawfish to be ready for when she arrived home. Mulkey had reason to celebrate her 6th ranked basketball team.

Despite Coach Johnson’s LSU baseball team’s crushing display of dominant hitting and pitching in its last four games, a display not witnessed since the Bertman era, there was zero coverage of baseball in the BR paper Monday. Come on man! This LSU baseball team appears to be special too, and your ignorance of it is painfully evident.

Imo..not enough games played and we still don’t know who this team is compared to WBB.

Weird melt. Baseball just started and Mulkey turned around a flailing program in one season. Going to be a 2 seed and host the first two rounds.

We are 8 games into the baseball season playing mostly crap teams. Meanwhile women's basketball wrapped up the regular season finishing 2nd in the conference.

Slight difference

The season just started let him build his wins up first

Preseason, the media poll had the LSU women finishing 7th in the SEC.

They’re 2nd in the SEC with a 25-4 record and ranked 6th nationally. The team they’re trailing in conference is favored to win the national championship.

So Coach Johnson deserves zero recognition does far? That was one of the most dominant displays of baseball in 20 years or more but let’s say nothing?

I love Jay Johnson and lsu baseball but to suggest he should get praise for crushing little league teams is just stupid. We were expecting this result but if if were to beat the only team with a pulse to this point in La Tech them perhaps some praise is warranted

JJ is not in the same stratosphere as Mulkey. Not many are but he is light years away.

If June comes around and the baseball team is a projected top 8 seed, there will be an article on Coach Johnson. Be patient.

A little recognition for Johnson would let more LSU fans know, and more might be willing to go and support LSU baseball in Houston next weekend. I’ve been wrong plenty times, but not this time. And y’all are some ignorant bitches for downvoting

Either you pretend to be retarded or you actually are. No in between. Not sure which is worse.

I think Johnson will do very well here, but we have beat up on some really bad teams and we got destroyed in the only notable game on our schedule so far. It's not deserved yet.

Come back after this weekend, when we actually play somebody with a pulse. This will be a good measuring stick for where they are at this point in the early season.

Understand, and yes we are trending in the right direction. Our bats will keep us in any game. We still need to figure out the SP rotation, and we'll know A LOT more about our Tiger BB team after the upcoming weekend's slate.
