JD has always been the best option. Nuss may turn out to be just as good but he was not better than JD last year and certainly not better this year.

For sure, Nuss is going to take 1-3 sacks per game and folks will wonder aloud: wait, why don’t you just outrun the entire defense for a 58 yard TD like Daniels did?? Going to be tough act to follow. I am very impressed with how much Daniels has improved and I am betting Nuss will be an upper echelon QB by the end of the season

Nuss will be given every opportunity. And his commitment to LSU and not transferring when he had ample opportunities to do so should be all anyone needs to get behind him for next season.

Nobody said Nuss had started for three years.
He has been at LSU for three years and next year will be four. He is not new to the program or to D-1 Football.
He has not started because he has not been as good as others.
Sorry if Nuss didn't start this year, but the program is better off as a result.

Seems like a lot of you are retarded because you have no idea what you’re even trying to say.

You aren't replacing Daniels' running with running backs.

He hasn't started because he didn't have the experience others had.

Nuss may not even be "our guy" next year. I can admit when I'm wrong and boy was I ever. I was so frustrated with JD5 last year and in his interview before the season started, he admitted to being hesitant and not making throws he should've. However, I thought Nuss should've been given more reps in games but looking at our defense, it's likely House and BK knew the problems that existed. Nuss has a cannon but a propensity to try to make every throw. He would've been a turnover machine and that would not have paired well with this defense.

I would love for Nuss to be the starting QB, but he really needs to improve on his consistency, decision-making and accuracy.

If you were Brian Thomas's father would you advise him to come back next year?

give him the same opportunity as in booing him, complaining about him for a year, and carpet bombing social media with support of the backup only?

No, as in blindly defending everything he does and blaming everyone but him until at least his fifth year as a starter.

I hope LSU fans will give Nuss the same opportunity if he is the starter next year.

So you want us to wait for Nuss to improve over the summer after his first year taking over the reins?!

damn, how do you people go from he is better than Daniels coming into this year to dont be so hard on him, he needs time to develop next year

Most likely bc outside of uga gane last year he hasn’t had a whole lot of opportunities.
Taking into consideration how quickly many of you fricking tards are to pull qbs and fire coaches I think it’s fair to say he should be given some patience.
