I have about given up on this.
Noise pollution appears to be here to stay.
If you think this is bad, the Superdome during the Saints games is worse.

The DJ needs to go…. I don’t want to hear blaring music between every play…..LSU is ruing the tiger stadium experience with horrible piped in music…

Agreed. The pre game fireworks and light shows are also stupid af. Every school has them now, so the game experience at LSU feels the same as many other schools. Nothing to make it uniquely LSU.

I'm convinced that they hate the fans who go to the games and actively try to piss us off.
They play music over the band while the band is playing.
They refuse to show replays. Traffic and things like that may be hard to fix. But they have big arse million dollar video boards. Just show the same fricking replays I can see on my piece of shite TV.

It’s all crap now. They are trying too hard. We had a pretty good tradition going.
I have to bitch about the traffic one last time. There has got to be a better way. It almost seems like the contra flow makes it worse.

I never really understood how bad it was until I had to listen to the game on the radio yesterday while driving for work. It was non stop dj music between every down it was absolutely horrible. I haven’t been able to get to a game in years so this was the first time I noticed it. Truly terrible.
They were playing “killing in the name of “ for like 12 seconds between a 2nd and 3rd down, who asked for that??

All off season, we need to make a point that something drastically needs to change to save 100 years as the most feared fan base ever. DJ has to go or be drastically changed

Maybe just my age ..I am not a DJ fan. I like when the crowd gets loud….not a bunch of crappy speakers.

You could play DJ music between every play to try to drown it out. The students will start chanting it during announcements and downs. It isn’t going to stop so quit making a big deal about it. Give them one neck chant during a big defensive stop late in the game and it won’t happen with every some.
Could you imagine after that goal line stand the band started playing neck?

Nope. You give an inch they’ll take a mile. That chant has zero place in that stadium. I’m with the other poster in here that said start making examples of those that do it. Fill the student section with security and start banning individuals…it’ll stop.
You can be as rowdy as you want, but I’m fine drawing the line on that chant. It doesn’t make us a tougher environment, it simply highlights to everyone present and watching on TV how low class much of our fanbase and student body is.

I never wanted to admit this, but it’s true. I come to one game a year at TS. You literally step into the ghetto from the gates. Just look at the area at the north gates. I bitched about the north gate pillars/columns 2 years ago. They’re tarnished and discolored. You can’t even read them. Can they not pay some college kid to pressure wash them? The area in front of the chimes/etc: broken sidewalks. Broken metal handrails. Weeds. Shitty pavement. Trash everywhere. Highland road and state streets look like Belize City. Dilapidated homes. Unkept lots. Flop house? Whore house? Who knows. Can’t believe city and school officials let it stay this way. Particularly right at campus.

All true. And people get the leaders they deserve and want. Louisiana’s leadership is a reflection of Louisiana. 2020 and COVID was the break. It’s been a mess ever sense. Will take a collective effort to right the ship. I don’t see that coming anytime soon.
