No one hates LSU and its players more than the fans who post here.

Are you serious. Putting Nuss up there with people like Bo Jackson and Lou Gehrig. Nuss is a joke.

Didn't Lou Gehrig retire with the record for most games played in a row? Tragic career

Do any other fans of other teams dump on their own team more than LSU fans do? Maybe just here but a ton of fans on the Tiger
Rant seem to enjoy LSU misery more than success.

It would be interesting to have a Mt Rushmore on LSU athletes, though.

Some quick considerations go to Cecil Collins in Football and Chad Jones in Football/Baseball

Many won't remember him but in '05 when Bama was on fire to start the season Tyrone Prothro was killing it. If he didn't break his leg I really think that dude was going to be something special. He was electric. Injury ruined his career never recovered correctly. Clearly lost a few steps.

Ben Wilkerson was another one of those truly talented players that had his career cut short due to injury. Chad Jones and Brandon Taylor were another two that got hurt and their careers ended. Both extremely talented players.

Hank Gathers is at the top of any list like this though.

The Boston Celtics were in the process of passing the Bird, Parrish, McHale torch to 27-year old Reggie Lewis when he collapsed and died of cardiac arrest in an offseason workout.

That’s the first time in my life I’ve ever heard of ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease described as an injury.

yup I remember when he was a recruit some national news show did a profie on him in high school and he was like vince Carter flying around like an astronaut I was like holy shite this guy is gonna be a legend. but then he got hurt and was a below the rim player. still good but nothing like the astro-man dunk smasher he was.

randy was like Anthony Edwards before he was hurt
