The point is, many successful college coaches that were caught cheating aren’t given the same villain treatment from the media that Will Wade is getting.

It is a double standard.
How about Rock Pitino or Coach Cal? Bruce Pearl? None of those were dogged by the media.
quote:

The double standard was that cocksucker Roy Williams at UNC. He was calling Lester Earl while Earl was playing in a tournament for LSU. Got Earl to lie about Dale. Dickie V would slobber all over Roy Williams any chance he got. Duke was paying Zion - which Zion pretty much admitted… crickets. frick all of them.

This can’t be emphasized enough. The ESPN’s of the world don’t want to tarnish the blue bloods while bashing the non-blue blood programs for the same behavior.

Nothing wrong with having a standard, but keep it consistent for all schools and not just the darling programs that bring the most ratings.
How about a nomination for LSU’s win in the 2006 NCAA Tournament against #1 Duke and J.J. Reddick?
Hope he has more eligibility left. That’s a rough way to end this season and last season.
It would be interesting to have a Mt Rushmore on LSU athletes, though.

Some quick considerations go to Cecil Collins in Football and Chad Jones in Football/Baseball
Agreed. Even if it isn’t Cape Cod league updates, some probably wouldn’t mind seeing stat updates or a few sentences on Tigers in the Minors and Tigers in the Majors every week or so.

The LSU website/app used to have stats for this, but not currently, and it isn’t updated with the recent guys called up to the majors.

It seems like LSU gets a signee from high school or the portal about every week, too. These are all topics that the hungry LSU Baseball fan might want to hear about.
Tyson Jackson was a good one for sure. I remember the story of his roommate coming home and wore a Scream mask just to scare Tyson. Tyson freaked out and picked the guy up and threw him through a window. It was the first floor, but it was still a window.

I think his roommate was another LSU football player too.

SEC Now on currently has basically a post game show. J. Jones is about to be on set for an interview. Certainly better than nothing!

I see what you did there.

It’s as if they practice yelling the night before or something
You’re right, on Fri. 7/5.

But it has to be rare that this has happened historically, right?
Not sure if LSU has had 3 former pitchers start a game in the MLB in the same day before.
Doesn’t LSU have a policy about retiring numbers at LSU? All-American or Player if the Year, and I think the person has to graduate.

That was what took LSU so long to get Shaq’ number up in the rafters.

I can’t remember if Angel graduated or not, though.

If there are set standards for jersey retirements, there should be higher standards for statues. I’d be curious to know what those standards might be.

IF LSU wins tonight and tomorrow…

thanks to Grand Canyon beating DBU, LSU as a #2 seed would be the higher seed than either remaining teams in #3 West Virginia and #4 Grand Canyon.

= LSU should host the Supers after a pair of wins vs UNC.

SEC teams already eliminated

Alabama, Vandy, South Carolina, and Arkansas (as a host) are all eliminated before their regional final.

Texas gave 3-seed A&M all they could handle in College Station last night, too. Baseball seems like a sport where the best team can’t always out muscle weaker teams for wins usually seen in football.

Not an excuse for these teams, just an outsider’s observation.

Remember the “Suck for Luck” when the Colts were accused of losing games to get a better draft pick the next year? Are we saying the Astros are possibly “Tanking for Tanks”?

Have to mention Kick Tracy’s game winning FG as another good memory.
Can someone provide a game by game summary of why we love to hate the Vols baseball team?

Certain comments made by Tony V or players over the last few years?

I woke up today and can’t remember why I have this sports hate for Rocky Top baseball.
