If we're comparing Belichick QBs,

I've always thought he would have a career similar to Mac Jones. If he's on a bad team he will be bad. Obviously he doesnt have the draft capital invested so he wont get as many chances as Jones did. But he could bounce around the NFL as a backup, end up on a good offense, take over for an injured QB1, and be good enough to keep the team in the hunt until the starter returns, earning a nice living as a journeyman QB.

No goalposts shifted. Fields is still one of the best backups in the league, and you are still comically delulu for arguing otherwise

Someone with chest and a scouting report that wasn’t loaded with mental and physical red flags

Any other questions

Sure. You brought up Garrett never seeing an nfl field when we were talking about Justin fields being a competent qb.

Fields is arse water. He cannot throw a forward pass. And I believe in nuss and his ability when hes right

Hell of an assumption. Sadly NFL GMs didn’t feel the same

You cant argue that fields is a competent qb. You were proven wrong so you shifted to Nuss not starting.

See the cool thing is you don’t have to take my word for it. You can just remember that the same team that drafted Nuss specifically traded for Fields to hold things down if Mahomes was injured to start the year

Lol mahomes will be ready to start the year. They've said as much. The trade was for a 6th rd pick and the Jets ate salary. Not exactly a huge leap of faith move

They did that cause they needed any backup and the jets paid all his salary. It cost the chiefs 3 mil. They were looking at other cheap options. Fields is horrible.

If Nuss ends up having a career like Chad Henne, he will have truly maximized his talents. People forget that Chad Henne was a 5 star, top 10 recruit out of a Pennsylvania high school. 4 year starter, started from the moment he got on campus. Michigan record holder in all significant passing stats. 15 year NFL career. Started for around 3 full seasons. 2x Super Bowl champ and he had a significant on-field contribution to one of them. Known for his toughness. Henne could ball.

Fields is a better football player than Nuss. They both have the same weakness: lacking Football IQ and the ability to perform under pressure. Arm is more or less equal. Fields can be dynamic running the football. Fields has a skillset that Mahomes doesn’t have. Nuss has no skill sets Mahomes doesn’t have.
