Which to me is so dumb since in my mind, the benefit of doing Thurs-Sat series is you have Sunday on the backburner in case you need it for weather reasons. What's the rationale for not letting them use Sunday? Travel reasons don't hold up to logic when Fri-Sun series exists and you're already there.

The rationale is that series that start on Friday don’t have the advantage of an extra day to get all the ganes in. Puts all series on an even playing field.

Because it fricks with midweek scheduling.
If you play Fri-Sun you typically play midweek on Wednesday. You play Tuesday if it's Thurs-Sat.
If you're not clear on whether you're playing on Sunday or not that Midweek schedule becomes a mess. And yes, the midweek schedules do matter.

We play a ton of Tuesday fridays. We rarely play Wednesday games at all. Maybe 2 or 3 a year.

I hope they don't give up on getting the game in tonight. We'll have the piece this thing together over the next 30 hours if they want to play game 3.
3 innings tonight, and try to dodge showers tomorrow to finish.
