There is obviously a lot of focus on Sankey. I don't like him a bit. But unless I miss my mark, he was almost certainly led by the nose through this affair by a Plowman organized clique.
To be honest, had he bucked the group of 15, it would have probably cost him his job. It may anyway. You can bet if the pressure ramps up, the 15 nitwits will quickly throw him under the bus as the fall guy.

The Group of 15 did not back him. The suit had to have been authorized by the Executive Committee.
If he lacks the leadership to talk the EC out of suing a charter member, he needs to go.

Not reading the thread, because I don’t care all that much. But this seems petty and immature to me, and an unnecessary stirring of the pot and fanning of the flames that have just cooled down. Especially since this seems personal with Sankey. The very short term “feel good” you might get out of it is not worth the potential long-term investment consequences (of pissing the SEC Commissioner off even more).
We should be above this. It’s just playing into the stereotype that helped get us here. Saying nothing is the power move. Indifference is much more effective than literally putting up a billboard showing everybody just how much we care. But whatever. Y’all do you.
