Another lie

It’s a certain type of LSU fan that dislikes Wade.

I want him back because I enjoyed watching basketball when he was here. His leadership gave me hope, hope that I had not felt about our basketball program since that first season under Trent. Hope that has been utterly absent since he was unjustly fired.
I would like to see him rehired because it would serve as an act of contrition for our athletic department who clearly and devastatingly erred in firing him in the first place. It would serve as an admission that they were wrong, that they are sorry, and that they owe an apology to the fans for their mistakes.
Honestly, though, I just want McMann fired. He obviously doesn’t have the capacity to field a competitive team. He has been given ample opportunity to do so and failed miserably. If they don’t replace him with Wade, I can accept that, but for goodness sake, please replace him.

In the NCAA tournament, Wade was 3-6. I don’t get the obsession. So the goal for LSU is just to hire someone that is better than McMahon? Loser mentality.
My goal is to find a coach that is willing to elevate LSU.
The most realistic option to do so for a number of reasons is Will Wade.
Do I wish we could pull tom Izzo to Baton Rouge?
Sure.
Is that realistic?
Hell no.
The talk about Wade is for a few reasons.
Number 1 he won. AT LSU. In a very strong SEC.
Number 2 it seems realistic because of the administration in place.
If you can name a consistent winner who has advanced further in the tournament who is realistic I’m all ears
I’ve tossed out a name a few times that I’d give an call- Eric Musselman.

Ah yes, yet another Wade doesnt make deep tournament runs as often as I want at places like McNeese, VCU and year 1 at NC St in a turnaround job therefore he clearly sucks and isnt still obviously way better than every coach we've had the last 2 decades here who could not consistently make the NCAAT.
In the last 10 seasons between NCST/McNeese/LSU/VCU he's had the chance to play in a tournament game 9 times (1 year tourney cancelled) and he's done that 8 times in 9 seasons.
Yeah this clearly isnt way way way better than any other coach we've had recently? You know, the current guy has made it checks notes
-ZERO-
Times.
The 2 guys before Wade, 1x in 5 seasons, 1x in 4 seasons. HEck lets go back to Brady, 4x in 11 seasons.
Yeah sign me up for the guy who has played a tournament game 8x in 9 chances, thanks...and the 1 miss he had was year 1 of a massive turnaround job and we werent far off from bein in the tournament like -checks notes-
You anti-Wade folks are just beyond stupid. This guy is eons better than anyone we've had in decades. We arent going to go out and get a $5-$6-$7M/yr coach, we might as well get a guy who had great success here, invigorated the fanbase and gets to the tournament on a regular basis for a good value.

A regular season conference title.

If not Wade , someone , anyone is better than that corpse that’s currently in charge/

Funny are ok with Wade not winning anything of significance. I don't want McMahon here and think he should be fired but I also don't want to hire Wade again.

Who do you want to hire who has (a) "won anything of significance" and (b) would realistically consider coming to LSU?

2 questions
Who would you target and how do you feel about Lane Kiffin?

Wade brought energy and excitement to our program. I’d take his tournament record every day over your beloved McMahon. Im sure you’re trolling but I can’t tell with you. I remember your insane takes from last year. If you’re serious you’re just delusional.
Honestly, no troll. I am not a lover of McMahon or his record. But I do pull for him everyday, until he is no longer my coach. Then I’ll begin supporting the new coach, including Wade if that happens. I am a fan of the University, not specific coaches or administrators. I want LSU to be successful in everything from athletics to education. I want LSU to win championships & to become a great school, receiving grants & research dollars. I love LSU unconditionally. I don’t understand the hatred & vitriol spewed day after day for McMahon, or Torina or any other coach. The hatred is also directed at student athletes, including recently, Caraway, Arrambide, Yorke etc. why do so many people have the need to hate & criticize so many fellow Tigers? It’s just the world we live in. I will support Will Wade if becomes our coach. I just don’t see why so many are head over heels enamored with him.

SEC Championship isn’t significant? What’s significant in your opinion?

Seriously, what has Will ever won of significance? Here are his postseason results by year as a head coach.
Brought excitement
Won games
Your post season assessment is on paper does not show the upward trend of LSU Basketball and stalled due to the wire tap conversation that derailed his career at LSU which can never be erased from history
Without this event LSU would be contending for a championship and winning at high level
Hiring Wade back would get LSU back into the mix
Hiring Wade back would most likely make LSU look bad academically and restore the Louisiana history of back ally politics
NIL has separated athletics from Academics and Louisiana's storied political history won't be affected much
HIRE HIM

Was at the Sweet 16 game vs Michigan State. That team probably does some damage if we didn’t get screwed over with Wade not being able to coach. Really wanted to see us vs Zion.
Also my first real encounter with Duke fans in that round and they’re the worst people alive. Old and mean as frick.

Went to Durham one summer, I’d get banned if I told you what those people were.

Duke is not representative of the Durham population and Durham is in no way representative of the Duke student body/alumni. Duke just happens to be located in Durham.
