He was already nursing lingering injuries, so it made more sense for him to sit out. As far as I know, none of our major guys are significantly hurt.

As of now none of our players are sitting the bowl game out

We will be without Greedy, Devin, Fulton, Phillips (for a half), Fehoko and probably one or two more for the bowl.

Has there even been a whisper about White sitting out?

Not yet outside of this board.

Just no one should be shocked if he ultimately makes that decision.

As of now nobody knows who is and isn't sitting out so this is a dumb argument on both sides

No. The defense is going to be about as porous as OT vs. A&M though. So many injuries this year it seems.

A RB is only position that could even consider sitting.

Why is that?

LF7 played hurt all season and sat out the bowl game because he was still nicked up.

It was McCaffery that started this healthy self-scratch from bowl games business.

If I’m an NFL GM, it turns me off that I guy is willing to walk from his teammates. It tells me, “this is a guy that will holdout or otherwise be selfish, a potential locker room cancer”.

I can’t see White sitting out, but I didn’t think Greedy would either. I’m fine with Fournette, but a healthy guy like Greedy needs to play.

Sitting out is a logical business decision. I just wonder why players don’t start sitting before the bowl game. The logic states once you have proved you are an NFL talent why should you subject yourself to potential injury. Does the school need to ask for the scholarship back if players elect to not participate?

Also getting a large insurance policy probably makes more business sense than sitting out though.

I don’t see how any sane GM would question a proven player sitting out.

This on the surface makes sense, but those policies are ridiculously contested. Unless, you have a catastrophic injury dropping you from top 5 to out. The more likely scenario is getting a less severe injury causing your stock to drop from top 5 to 3-4 round and 10s of millions of dollars in which case the carrier will nickle and dime them until they have to settle for something much less than they would've ever made on a first round contract.

I know it hurts to hear this but... they don't care about you, their teammates or LSU

Got exposed against A&M and didn’t want to risk it anymore

As many as it took me to leave the bar. I’m done now.
