Former LSU players say Miles’ practices were too hard, O’s too soft

Just streamed several minutes earlier Mike from TigerBait told his listeners that a former LSU player told him that Les Miles practices were too hard, and that he was going to quite if Miles was not fired. Mike also noted that O is the opposite, he doesn’t push LSU players hard enough in practices, implying we’re seeing the results.
Mike noted there are a bunch of coaches out there that are on Woodward’s list, and that he is lining up everything right now. And noted that Jimmy Sexton is the one putting Lane Kiffens name out there hoping to get a raise, but he doesn’t believe LSU wants him.
Also that there are two camps around LSU, one that believes O will be fired after Ole Miss, and another that believes O will finish the season before getting fired.
Mike also noted that this is going to get dicey for LSU’s next coach with committed recruits who are going to be mid term grads.. Noting that Fla is already making headway with Quincy Wiiggins who was a big lean LSU.

You will lose recruits when you fire the coach. And in some cases, it won’t be the recruit’s choice.
The first class that comes in a week or two after the season is over probably will take a hit but if you make the right hire, the first full class will be a smash.

Players hate practice! Older folks think younger folks have it too easy! More at 11.
This is how Mike S has stayed at the top of the game for so many years, with hard hitting stories like this.

Wouldn’t letting recruits know the direction of the program, the sooner, be best?

LSU gets to sign 32 players this year with the new NCAA ruling regarding transfers. So sooner seems wiser as for as getting a new coach.

If by too soft you mean players telling you if they’re gonna be at practice or not, yeah. LOL
The new coach must come in with an iron fist and make an example of the most egregious offender
NIL be damned

No coach is leaving his team before the regular season is over (and any program should run from any coach willing to). The best we can do is to have someone ready to go the day after the season ends but even then it’s a comically tight window.

I think the administration has already reached out to current commits and recruits and communicated what’s going on. They all know O and staff will be gone, yet we haven’t had one decommit or big target commit elsewhere. Something tells me they’re all just waiting patiently to see what happens.

These words should be pinned at the top of the page for the rest of the season.

This.
They know the change is happening, but they also know this will be a rockstar hire with huge buzz. Some are likely excited at the chances of someone who can develop them as well.
That said, a few losses are to be expected and the sky won’t fall.

Unless yo in work in the building you couldn’t possibly know this. Also, I could almost guarantee a recruit would talk by now if that was the case.

Miles had a reputation for some pretty brutal practices. That being said, rarely did you see a Miles team getting pushed around . You may have botched about the style, but more often than not that would also lead to LSU being a tough out if you got to the 4th quarter and the game was within a touchdown. Miles' teams more often than not could wear down opponents and lead to victories . You rarely saw them outmanned.
