So you want your son better punter, but want other fans donating money to NIL to pay for his training?
The UF collective is just businesses, they advertise when the UF players are doing charity.

I’ve never paid NIL for players…if there are people who do then that is their choice.

NIL is not a gift. It’s payment which makes them professional athletes.

I think the players should have to pay EA Sports $1,500 for being in the game.

well I can 100% say that they never had their name in the any of the games... now you could mod and put in player names. They did have the same numbers and similar physical attributes though.

So….the problem is that the old system was not a free market. These young ADULTS have rare and valuable skills. Others were profiting off of their skill and the benefits they got were valuable but still less than market value.
Do you know any police officer, nurse, engineer, etc. who just receives medical benefits and retirement benefits (but no pay) for doing their job? Since they receive a paycheck, we should make them pay for all of their medical insurance.
That is the logic you are using.
Just because these 18 year olds are able to be paid more than the average adult, doesn’t mean the market doesn’t value them at what they are paid. Professional music artists and actors/actresses also get paid lots of money at 18 for providing entertainment services due to their talent. It’s the same thing.

The second any college athlete takes money from NIL they should have to give up their free ride scholarship. Give that scholarship to some kid who needs an education. I’ll get downvoted but sorry, NIL has destroyed college sports. That and the portal
Logic used only be the lowest of the low IQ people in the world.
If a kid is a really great trumpet player, and he's attending college for music, he could get connected with a singer/band playing his trumpet and make however much money he wants. It's the EXACT same thing.
Now you can make an argument for collectives not really being true NIL. That's an entirely different argument. But to turn your nose up at a kid getting a little bit of cash because he's being used in a game is ridiculous.

Not paying those handful of kids a couple thousand for the video game and jerseys royalties is the reason kids are being bribed millions to play at a particular school.

Some white ULM 5'8" WR that is a 56 overall is about to win the heisman on career mode

How is Ashton Stamps a 91 overall?

No its not. You can get a 1tb Xbox series X with the disc drive from Microsoft for 599

People just hate that the game doesn’t have the pure “for love of the game “ image anymore. They liked that it had that front. Even though it wasn’t the reality. Saban changed our program, in part, by getting people to put up money for the great players. It’s why they didn’t leave the state anymore. But nobody wants to acknowledge this. It’s just Boomer energy. I understand.

So about $660 for a system and another $75 for one game. No wonder all these young kids will always be broke.

NCAA Football 2026 will only play on the newest Xbox and PlayStation consoles
These consoles came out in November 2020. It's not realistic to imply the players in the game all have to go out and buy a brand new console to play EA Sports College Football 2026. If they haven't bought a video game console in the last 5 years they do.

Now I feel bad sending my son off to college with a shitty Xbox. His worked to play online games with his friends…said he needed a new one to play this game…I thought it was ‘the new one’.

Then they can pay for their education. Why should tax payers have to pay for a rich athletic who’s getting NIL money.
