My question is if this is an all camp trend or just a today trend? If its the latter, its much less cause for concern. Also, we still have a few weeks until the first game. There's time to work it out.

I’ve heard media guy like Scarborough and the tigerbait guys say that the snaps were good all the time besides one with a wet ball , up until today.

He just had a bad day. We’re not gonna have an issue with something simple like that against fsu . They will make sure he’s capable before sending him out there.

Sedrick Van Pran screwed us

He signed with UGA three years ago. A school like LSU shouldn't go three years being unable to find a center. In 2020 and 2021 LSU had to rely on a Harvard transfer who had never played center previously. Now, it looks like they are trying to plug a tackle into that role late, with limited success (thus far). Center is probably the most mentally demanding position on the OL, but the least physically demanding. Often times the center is going to have help on blocks.

Given LSU has other "bodies" on the team who would seem like they have the size to play center it sounds like they are very limited in the number of guys who could handle the mental aspect of the position.

Damn coach put Jaray Jenkins on blast.

Not sure I agree with the public shaming approach, but I trust Kelly to run the program.

Great. My fear. Snap the ball. Not that hard.

This is Dellinger's first time snapping the ball in live action ever. So it's going to take some time. It's not an easy transition. There's a reason they have tried 5-6 OLinemen there this year so far. Snapping the ball isnt hard when you're 100% at the start. It gets much harder as you wear down over time, and keep in mind this is shotgun snapping, not an easy snap it to the hands in your crotch every time.

Dellinger is going to have to get it, but you cant seriously expect a week and a half in for him to be perfect. The alternative is Charles Turner there and you really dont want to see that.

One of O's biggest recruiting failures was letting this guy get away. Would have been a day 1 starter for LSU in an absolute position of need. Instead we had 2 years of a Harvard transfer who was clearly out of his depth in the SEC.

On why they moved Dellinger to C, Kelly mentions they like his size at 315 and his lateral movement ability. Says the days of smaller centers are waning with the size defenses are lining up on the nose.

@JacquesDoucet
Jayden Daniels led one scoring drive in which his scrambling ability led to a big run and then throw on the run to Kayshon Boutte for nice gainer. Armoni Goodwin then caught a short pass in the flat and trucked defensive back for a 25-yard TD or so. #LSU

that was my first question since Dellinger is so huge but looks like alignment strikes again

Isn’t this the path Ethan Pocic had to play center? Got moved from a different online position to center? Correct me if I’m wrong.

Want to hear more about the DBs. Haven't seen much tbh on them. Good to see Burns taking that next step. Georgia was high on him before he transferred back here.

So that makes me wonder do they slide maybe Jay Ward with reps at CB if Burns is the starting FS? Maybe put him in a versatile role like that play either FS/CB depending on the depth/injuries.

making excuses for a program like LSU to still not have a center 3 years running

Three 5 stars and twenty four 4 stars transferring out in the Coach O era tends to make you thin at positions. Add on to that pretty subpar recruiting on the OL to begin with.

Kelly even said it’s more of an issue about adjusting, but I’m sure you know more than Kelly too.
