LSU has more actual tough games on its schedule just this year than ND does in any 3 year period this century.
And next year, LSU has 5 SEC away games and only 4 SEC home games. Kelly's teams don't have the leadership to win away games.
Next year, you are almost guaranteeing 5 losses at least with that schedule.

Kelly has not figured out recruiting and NIL, and has not gotten good coaches- Many bad hires. ONly Austin Thomas has been a home run- all the while WOODY was giving out 10 yr contracts- 5 yr max and load them with incentives like million dollar bonus for winning National Champioinship etc

the limited physicality Nuss has is glaring and the play calling reflects the liability that is Nussmeir.
Then who is to blame for running baks getting snuffed in the backfield, time after time.
If the problem is Nuss's lack of mobility then it must Johnson, Berry, and Durhams lack of mobility that gets them caught repeatedly in the backfield when we only need a yard to score or get a first down.
Sad the entire backfield is incompetent. Who approves those scholarships?
Is Orgeron still to blame? Damn him anyway.

Spot on. We're the Fighting Tigers, and fighting is what we do best.
We use every tool at our disposal to win, and when we don't do that, it feels extremely frustrating.
I hope Kelly finds it in him somewhere to either step it up or just negotiate an early retirement. These games have been very rough to watch.

It was his original hires and then his current OC

The post game interview with Nussmier showed a QB with no fire in his belly. He never once looked up, just hung his head like a scolded puppy.

In 2023, LSU finished regular season:
13th in the AP Poll (12th in Final)
13th in the Coaches Poll (12th in Final)
13th in CFP Poll
They were not 1 spot from making in 2023. Liberty gets the 12th spot based on current rules and then LSU is 14th at best in reality.
It's not about being top 12. You have to be in the playoffs.
Not once in his time at LSU did Kelly qualify for the top 12 seeds in the playoff (not top 12 rankings). The closest he had required LSU having a heisman winning QB, two 1st round NFL WRs, top 10 overall pick OT, 2nd round TE, 3rd round OT.
He has nothing close to that offesnse, and no one on this defense is close to those top 10 picks at QB, WR, and OL.
Neither of the WRs were recruited to LSU by Kelly either.

Sloan's playcalling works absolutely against what works best for the talent LSU has. It is just bad. The players are not executing, but the calls are atrocious and especially once they get in the redzone.
The team can run block in a simplified gap focused run game. Instead we call runs that have them backing up from the start because Sloan insists on everything being RPO calls for Nuss.
In the end, had Sloan been replaced with just a competent OC, LSU is easily scoring 10 more points per game, which would mean potentially being undefeated at this point.

This is the summary of the points I have tried to make this week. Even though BK has become about as unlikable as can get I dont think he is the main problem. The OC/staff is. This offense has underperformed by 30-40% whoch is more than enough to make this team legit Top5.
There were many posters on here trashing the defense and my response was we just have to score more points and extend drives. Besides just scoring more it also reduces opponent points opportunties.

The video in that article is downright embarrassing.

IMO Kelly is taking the Nuss Bus and riding it when it falls off the middle of the Huey Long Bridge!

30-14 beatdown
This guy didn’t watch the Alabama-Vanderbilt game if he thinks Alabama won in a “beat down”.
I hate that when people look at the final score and then pretend they know exactly how the game went.

This is an excellent way of framing a point in a provocative way (a "good" provocative, like thought-provoking).
Would he, as the HC, have let Ensminger and Brady run the offense and manage offensive players in a way that generated the same results?
If not, what does that tell us, if anything?

Absolutely. While most fans don't think it realistic, a "path of redemption" this season still exists: win out.
