At one point it was Jacob Hester. I was crushed whenever he got that longhorn tattoo. Thank God Mack Brown shite the bed. And Saban realized that he had to keep the greatest two star prospect in the history of Louisiana home.

Guys who typically do this are not knocking their university. They are usually reaching out to the community they came from.. kind of as a positive influence and that if he can make it out, so can they..

What?
No Joe McKnight responses yet? This place went berserk.
This board is full of posters under 25 yrs. old, so it’s somewhat understandable and Dunn is a natural response.
Remember also Cam Robinson, Johnny Hector, jerry Tillery, Joe Ferguson, Isaiah Buggs, Travis Etienne, etc
Attitudes changed about these guys after they made their selections, but LSU fans wanted all of them.
Who was the RB that went to Mich. instead of LSU.?

Benoit Benjamin-7'0 High School Basketball All American that went to CREIGHTON over LSU. The youngsters on this board will not recognize that name, lol. With him, LSU is a Final Four contender.

I recall being upset when the highly touted Joe McKnight spurned our state for Hollywood.
I felt the same way when Shea Patterson opted for Ole Miss.

I would have to say Warrick dunn as well. He's just a class act and you can't really blame him for going to Florida state over LSU at that time ffs. We were right in the middle of curly fricking hallman's stellar stint as LSUs head coach and had nothing but losing seasons and horrible football teams with that clown at the helm. It was also right in the middle of Florida states heyday under Bobby bowden. He wanted to compete for championships and get a chance to showcase his talent for the nfl. In all honesty we shouldn't blame Warrick for choosing Florida st over lsu, but be furious at Joe dean for hiring that goofy bastard curly hallman. Holy shite he was bad.

All of that plus his mom being murdered in baton rouge probably factored in as well
